You might be able to swap that for a Yamaha Pacifica ... Not fancy but a great beginner guitar
Like 122-140
Even preowned 150 is getting close to out of my price range bc the amp is going t obe like 100-120 i think and i gotta get a cord to connect the amp to guitar too
Fair enough
HB is pretty decent as well ...for the price
Yeah I mean its going to be my first guitar so I'm just going for a decent one
Little bit of a different idea, but if you go to Thomann (US), you can get a Yamaha Pacifica 112J - which is a very decent beginner guitar - and a great headphone amp for about 310 dollars.
**Reasons for that route: **
The Yamaha is a good guitar and will stay with you for at least a few years.
Going with a headphone amp has many benefits:
- It will save you some money on an actual amp. Although the Katana is a very good bedroom amp, but it's still more limiting since you have "only" 3 amp types to choose from (brown/crunch/clean). With the headphone amp you get somewhere around 20 amp simulations + cabs, I think.
- You have more effects to play with
- You don't need a guitar cable, since it plugs straight into your guitar - you just need wired headphones, which you probably already have.
- It's more portable, so you can play anywhere you want, and it's wirelesss and battery-powered so all you need is the unit, a smartphone with the software on it, the guitar, and a pair of wired headphones.
- Since you're just starting out, you really don't need an amp with a physical speaker
- You'll have a tuner, metronome, drum machine, and jam tracks built into the unit, which are all essential for practice.
- You have interface capability in the unit, so you can easily connect it via USB-C to your computer or phone and record
- You can use the Aux in (Headphone jack) to connect to any speaker unit that accepts Aux connections
- The Headphone jack It has TRRS functionality, so you can connect wired headphones with a mic and record / stream your voice at the same time as the guitar signal - great for making videos for instance.
So the Pacifica 112 J = $237
The Nux Mighty Plug Pro = $73
So that's $310 altogether. I don't know if they provide free shipping, but I'm pretty sure they do
And you might be able to find a used Pacifica for less than that even.
i agree with the pacifica
Said so too ....
