Can you be more specific? What particularly seems to be the problem?
That rhythm is a typical "Maiden Gallop"
You can count it as:
1 & ah 2 & ah 3 & ah....
followed by straight up 8th note power chords counted as (1 & 2 & / or rather 3 & 4&)
As for picking, I'd probably down-pick this, but you can also use alternate picking on the "& ah" if you want.
