#Boss ME-80 or Universal Audio Lion 68

Trying to get my first modeler here and I'm split between these two. Trying to get a good boosted Marshall tone like Megadeth or Slayer or something but also have some solid cleans. The Boss ME-80 is more versatile and cheaper but the Universal Audio Lion 68 is smaller and will get me closer to a real Marshall tone. Which of these two should I buy y'all? 😄

Also important to note, I'm not trying to run this into any amps. I just want to run them as is essentially bypassing getting a real amp entirely and plugging straight into the PA.

I think youd be better off with the ME80 because u can explore your sound more

Do you already have a pedalboard?

If you do then maybe you can pair up the Audio lion 68 with ur pedalboard

but if ur only using that one pedal, id recommend the ME80

Thanks for getting back to me, I have a few pedals such as an overdrive, a chorus, and a wah but nothing I can't go without

my one concern is that I'm really sold on the marshall sound and I'm not sure how much the ME-80 would match up against the Lion 68

noted, I'll go listen around some more but it being $100 cheaper than the Lion 68 is huge
