#Need some amp recommendations.

I am currently in an apartment with a good amount of roommates and I was looking at some amps to buy that has built in effects. I was looking at the BOSS KATANA mini X as I don’t need anything too loud or powerful. But would I be bettter off spending a bit for for the Katana 3 50W? Any other recommendations would be appreciated.

the 50 has an attenuator toggle on it

i've no experience with the mini x, but the mini isn't good

i said it a lot before cus i think it says a lot, but even my little brother didn't like the katana mini

and he just began playing too

the amp later died in like a couple months, it was a battery eater anyway

the full 50 watt version just has much more features beyond just sounding better anyway

plus, you get to plug headphoens into it

so volume isn't much of an issue anyway

Good to know lol. I usually use amp sims through my interface but I’m getting kinda bored of it. I just mainly wanted something fun, but also good.

I’ll check it out. seems like it’s right up my alley. I just know with some of those types of amps it’s more of a gimmick and they tend to not sound so great

the spark also has an optional battery pack that lets you use it without a wall outlet for 12 hours

and currently own just the spark 1 version

spark does its job very well

i have the tones i made for my own spark on the tone cloyud

so if you choose that one, lmk, ill tell you what to look up to find my tones

altho i made those tones for the spark 1 which has a shittier speaker and sounds bassier, too bassy

so youll have to add back in some low end

either way tho, boss 50 or spark 2, both are pretty good options
