im playing the chords normally and it sounds the exact fkin same but can someone tell me what im supposed to be doing on these chords
i thought a circle was a natural harmonic and i cant even do those on the third and sixth fret right?
unless i use my right hand on the fret board
is that what im supposed to do
that does not seem right
The cursor above is on a rest, so I'm guessing you mean the chord next to it, correct? You are referring to the circle/dot above it?
that's a Staccato, which means it's played short and sharp. So basically, you release pressure on your fretting hand after you play it. You should also emphasize (play a bit louder) these chords at the same time to get that typical Knopfler sound.
I wrote this tab up a few months back based on this youtube video https://youtu.be/h0ffIJ7ZO4U?si=FSNwN7q0FzBrmQvs

That is a very good Tab, man. Kudos.
I also tabbed out the song a while ago when we did a cover of the song.
It's very difficult to capture the little Knopfler nuances in the music, but you did a fantastic job with it in the tab! Respect!
If you notice any errors or have any suggestions please let me know. - The tough part is that I had seen 2-3 videos of Mark performing the song and each time it's played it's a bit different. - I just chose that video.
