Hey I’m looking to get a new 8 string for myself for around 1500 $ max I’ve found one that I really like which is the Ibanez rgdm8 but I kinda want to see what other options are there before I buy.

jackson and ibanez barely under 1500 can get duncan nazgul+sentient/fishman fluence moderns respectively
the other brands/lower than 1500 just has proprietary pickups
they dont sound necessarily bad but theres more reviews on duncans/fishmans than proprietaries
schecter has good specs like stainless steel frets and hipshot bridge
legator has 1700$ bangers but 1500$ and below not that good
feel free to add brands im just thinking off the top of my head
oh theres also solar
they have V shape 8 strings under 1500
even fishman+evertune on a1.8aan

if i really like the guitar i would be open to spending a little more then my current budget

all the solars in that range comes with evertunes so that can be both a pro and a con depending on your pref
