i would really apreciate some advice for a good sounding amp in my budget (around 600 euros total for bass and amp)

this is a good one

#

it wont really be loud enough to keep up with the drummer but if its just for home practice it will be just fine

low fog
#

i could do that myself

bronze steeple
#

for a bass amp, depending on the size of your gigs I’d recommend upwards of 150W at least

#

that being said, most gigs your amp will only be used by YOU to hear yourself, that’s if the sound guy even lets you turn it on

#

keeping that in mind id go with something in the vain of a Warwick Gnome or Trace Elliot Elf, as those are both super portable heads that can fit in a hoodie pocket

#

then, find the biggest and cheapest cab you can find, used for the best value and use that

#

metal tones would lead me to recommend a Mesa, Gallien Krueger, Darkglass etc but those are all pretty expensive

#

basswise, you can play metal on nearly anything. plenty of people use P basses, J basses, Musicmans, whatever they have. id find the nicest thing you can, and the one you like the sound of personally (or reference a bass player you like and what they play)
