I can't get past this part of the solo of Fade to Black by metalica. I've been playing for 6 months and i can play decently but i cant play this type of tabs. Does anyone have any tips to play this without high e getting muted? And is there any techniques i should know?

you have to slow it down and pay close attention to how the mute is happening, then move around your fingers and experiment until it doesnt happen anymore, then keep doing that and speed it back up.
what about "this type of tabs" is confusing to you? what do you mean by "this"?

yeah you should definitely get used to that AND learn to love that about the learning experience, if you wanna get good at playing guitar

ok. if you have more specific qustions feel free to ask those as well. in general you should learn to learn on your own, as that's gonna be huge for your overall understanding of the instrument
