Looking to upgrade my solo 3rd gen to a 2i2, wanna try something other than focusrite, only requirement is being able to control my monitor and headphone volume separately or mute one of them while using the other. Thanks 🙂

the 2i2 isn't an upgrade over the solo
it only has an additional input
its basically a solo just with an extra input
so i need to clarify if you want something that has 2 inputs, or not, or whatever
since you said your only requirement is to the thing about headphones

check out Behringer UMC404HD or Universal Audio Volt 2 and higher, though the UAs usually are more expansive. Def check the used market.
the UMC202HD does have 2 inputs. The 204HD has additional MIDI I/Os.
