Is there any tricks to tune EADGBD by ear
Like how when tuning standard you can strum the 5th fret of the string below and it should produce the same sound

You can play your D string and tune the low E until they match in tone.

#

Just know that they'll be one octave apart. But you'll know when they sound in key together.

I found a way, since i realised d is one step down, i just started putting the high e on the second fret until it sounded like standard tuning

Another way is to play the 7th fret of the (original) low E String, then strike the open A underneath, and lower the tuning (while holding down the note on the 7th fret) until they match.

So when tuned down, the 7th fret of the low "E" String should sound like an A note.
