I want to buy a new bass, the one i currently have is like 6-7 years old and was a cheapo bass at the time i had gotten originally so im looking to upgrde, currently i have 3 basses picked out not sure which is better.

The basses i have in mind are the
Yamaha TRBX 304
Ibanez sr400
Ibanez sr500

Im not good at deciding but with the help of others opinions and their thoughts ill be actually be able to choose

Yeah thats what i was planning on going cause it was also like the middleground price wise compared to the other too lol but i just got no clue about what anything like pickups what are good etc and stuff like that mean

so i avoid those but any passive are good enough for me

#

i think all ibanez have their dumb like EQ thing in the guitar itself

Yeah see i got no clue what actuve or pasive even means or does😭 im brand new lmao, ive been playing for a few years but i just practice alone and never really learned what everything is ir does

active means it has a battery

#

and makes it sound trash

#

maybe for super mega distortion its okay but at that level of processing pickups dont matter at all

Ah i see i see

the ibanez EQ means you can EQ it like on an amp

#

but on the guitar

#

except it doesnt work nearly as well as on the amp

#

to me its more of a gimmick

I see hmm

#

its not a bad thing

#

unless you dont like changing 9V batteries in your guitar

#

(i hate it)

noble wedge
#

Lmao, id hate to have to change a batter like that too😭

thats why i stick to full passive bass

#

just use the cable and thats it

#

I bought a Talman bass from ibanez and rewired it completely
but that effs the resale of your bass so unless youre sure youre gonna keep it i wouldnt do that
