#Amp + preamp for band practices

for reference, i was looking at a spark go paired with a spark cab and a spark control for footswitches
Do you mean you want a head and a cab
Or like
Something with multiple things in like a modeller
Something versatile
gen 3 katana is pretty safe
alternatively a solid, if you reasonably affordable tube amp then the fender hotrod deluxe
look used though
Get a Katana the spark isn’t quiet loud enough imo
do you need to be heard over your drummer? either go with a head+cab or a Boss katana 100
the MK2 has 2 12 inch speakers and can get pretty damn loud, the MK3 is new. Both of these amps are incredibly versatile with heaps of built in effects
I’d prefer the gen 3 tbh as it sounds pretty good and you get the pushed channel
The 212 is also pretty big
or for head+cab if you have to go with new stuff the HB 2x12 is great and has V30 speakers but the 4x12s aren't branded so it will still sound good... just not V30 good. the HB mighty 15 sounds fine, but I'd rather get something used instead maybe something like a Laney IRT15, an EVH 5150III 15 W, or what ever suits you
Yeah it’s massive
2x12s are big, but you can be heard over a drummer
oohhh i forgot about preamp pedals
damnn
Full 60w amp
If Glenn likes it then it must be good https://youtu.be/OMum96Nl1Jg
In the interest of destroying more myths about Tube guitar amps, I put the new Laney Loud Pedal up against my best tube amps. If you can be the first tell me when it's playing in the full mix, I'll send it to you! Get it at: https://www.laney.co.uk/amps/guitar/ironheart/irf-loudpedal

Yeah lol
But it is actually killer
Tho I’m spending extra money for this version just cause looks better
Imma make my own
im running some Bugera who knows whats
Ight
Don’t clutter up bros thread
yea a head and a cab, my bad
im looking at the katanas but is it worth the 150 euro's? i also want to get footswitch because well yea
can you also hear a normal MK2 over a drummer? what's the difference?
Yeah you can
Especially if the venue has PA
yea it's mostly for band practice
ive heard from a lot of people that the footswitch is definitely worth it
also on the gen 3 i think the katana 100 gen 3 has really a lot of new features compared to the katana 100 mk2
especially when compared to the katana 50 gen 3 versus katana 50 mk2
the 50 gen 3 doesnt get as much new features as the 100 gen 3
ah I’ll have a look and see if it’s worth it
alternatively if you want a cheaper footswitch you can get the airstep kat which works pretty well too
its not a boss footswitch though and idk if its got the same features as the ga fc ex
they're about the same price for me
idk if the gen 3 is worth the money for me personally
i'd have to hear them side by side
