#I need to buy an amp...

cause guitar amps arent designed to withstand bass frequencies
"in general" so there sure are some exceptions
depends how loud you wanna play
I don’t personally like bass amp for guitar but it’ll work
not much, im in an apartment after all
if its low volumes i dont think bass should damage the rumble 15
tho like small speakers will make bass really hard to hear
that amp is a bass amp
@little badge ever thing about amp sims
yes, and it's too much of an hassle, i just wanna plug in a thing and play
for 60 bucks its hard to beat getting any amp tbh
i checked on the fender site and it says it's for bass
good good
as long as it doesnt sound like complete garbage with a guitar i'll be okay
15w, 8" speaker
i sometimes play guitar through my orange bass amp and it sounds good
i think fender one shouldnt have issues
ight ty
npp enjoy whatever youll end up getting
It’s not tho
I can plug in and play with my sims too
yes it is, you dont know my setup nor how my bedroom is layed out
and i'd bang my guitar everywhere
Ok but you’re acting like sims take 10 years to be able to play
i am not?
Exaggeration
i understood
alright, then tell me, what would i need for an amp sim? and how is it better than a normal amp
A computer an interface and either speaker or headphones then ofc sim and for around the same price (all together) as some practice amps a lot better sound
i'll think about it as a secondary thing
if i wanna experiment with effects or whatever
for now i dont want additional clutter and cables i cant hide on my already busy desk
after all i can sell a used amp i get tired of it
I mean boss katana
what about it
It’s a combo amp that as tons effects in it
which also costs 3 times as much
so...
Cheaper than buying 50 pedals plus amp
when did i ever talk about pedals
i said i wanna buy a box that makes noises and plug and play
if i wanna experiment with effects ill get the sim amp thing
i dont understand how that isnt acceptable
can i please have my preferences?
^^^^
Dude calm the hell down
yes
i was referring to the amp thing
i am calm
I’m just giving ideas and suggestions not saying what to get
it's like asking if i should get squier and you come in with "get a fender instead"
like yes no shit it's gonna be better, costs 3 times as much
You asked for suggestions I gave budget suggestions
budget?
Yeah a boss katana is a budget amp
I found an used Fender Rumble 15 Bass Amp for 60 euros.
yes, will you give me the remaining 140 bucks?
because if the answer is no, i cant get it
again, i found the thing for 60 euros. that was my budget, or something around 60
not 3 times the price
Get a job I guess idfk I’m just giving suggestions on what to buy not like that’s the point of this thread channel 😱
You ain’t gonna get much good for 60 bucks
"get a job"
🤡
I mean how else you get money?
Go do what ever you eant I won’t stop you
I just came to give suggestions and you went cry baby so have fun playing guitar
cry baby? dude, holy shit
i asked advices for thing
you suggested something completely different, which is like, okay, but after the third time i decline, maybe, JUST MAYBE, get the hint.
Then you suggested something that costs 3 times as much as my original budget. my budget for the thing was something around that price.
Then you start saying random half-assed insults like "get a job"
If you dont wanna really help maybe dont talk at all
especially if you wanna say random bs
as i said already
as long as it doesnt sound like complete garbage with a guitar i'll be okay
Never particularly said a budget and and I did wanna help that’s why I suggested stuff that’s much better for not a whole lot of money
bro doesnt get it
3 times the price is a lot of money more
I didn’t a lot more I just not a lot
i also specified in the post that the amp was 60 bucks. common sense dictates that THAT is my budget. I guess common sense is not that common
Bro angy
other dude
i am not, im just irritated
I can tell
Tf I do I suggested stuff and bro threw a fit
^
"get a job" apparently is a suggestion
very kind and absolutely not at all an insult
okay then, lets clarify
- i am looking for an used bass amp
- i want an amp for now, not a sim amp
- budget is around 60 euros, max 80
- i live in italy, ill look for something local because nobody is gonna ship me a 10kg box for cheap
- popular used websites here are Vinted, FB Marketplace and Subito, but dont go look for offers there directly
- i dont care about effects for now
that said, do you have any advices that would be better than a Fender Rumble 15?
and also fit in the guidelines?
A rumble 15 new is around 130 euro from what i see so 60 is an absolute steal
Yeah but it’s not the best for guitar imo that’s why I SUGGESTED save up more money to get something solid for both maybe a positive grid spark that does both guitar and bass

bro didnt even read this time, while the guidelines are all laid out there
Yes
I did I’m not illiterate
Did you read the last little bit
that you didnt give a shit?
No that if you want that get it
bro is actually a moron
i dunno about gear so
that this is still like triple the price tho
It works for bass ik because I use it for my bass at times
4" speakers youd have to have your head next to the amp at night to hear any bass
but then again suggesting computer plugins proves quality isnt important for him
Nope
Idk what you’re on about amp sims sound incredible
ok sure whatever makes you feel better
Have you used any?
i know how hard it is to get anything shipped to italy tbh
gave up really quick
Clearly
but if youre gonna buy from someone I'd check if it works, cause hefty discouns are always sus to me
#your-playing-creations message
if you like 8 bit quality all the power to you
They work awesome ly
How the hell you get 8bit
oh that's not the main problem, i can find a lot of things in italy, but the problem is with shipping costs, isnt really worth it for a cheap amp. amp are big and heavy. 20-30 euros shipping when it's like half the price of the amp isnt really worth it, better buying local, or at worst, going to rome and have to carry the thing back, cheaper than shipping lol
oh ye i will
That’s true
ill go to his house anyway
oh yeah def i used to have an entire day to take a bike ride to buy cheap guitars
never tried an amp tho
ill ask my dad for a car ride lol
ill get turned into a pancake if i try to go with a bike there
yeee amps are way heavier lol
no more like someone is gonna hit me with their car
If amp sims sucked why do thousands people use them and a lot of professional guitarist and studio engineers use them?
if you want me to explain things to you you can dm me
i think it might be a bit of a waste personally
to get a rumble 15
it'll work, but you're very limited with what you can do
id aim for at least a 10" speaker on a bass amp
bigger speaker, more low end at all volumes
reason it'll be so cheap is because no one buys them
If you can advise something that isn't 3 times as expensive I'll look for it
What budget do you have?
I'd say 100 euros max, but I'll see what I can get locally, which isn't much lol
If you can shoot some names at me I'll look them up
Afraid the rumble 15 is all you’ll get really and I still think it’s a waste. Imo go with a headphone amp.
Katana go gives you effects and a recording interface for just over 100 euro
Does both guitar and bass
Orange maybe is a brand you could look at
A used boss katana here goes for 200 used
I’m talking about the katana go
Not the big amps
It only recently released
I have one and I love it
Use it for anything and everything when I don’t want to plug into a my combo amp
The katana itself new is over 100 euros by itself and I can't find a single one in my country used lol
Probably won’t find a GO used because it came out like a month ago
It should be like 125 euro or something
I paid about £100
Too much over budget
I think I'll still get the rumble 15 and sell it if I find it's dogshit
Yea you can do that, might struggle to get someone to buy it is the problem
At 40 someone is gonna buy it
Also given that the dude selling lives in the middle of the countryside and I live in the city
Easiest way would be to trade it in
They're gonna give me a penny and a chewing gum for it lol
They’ll probably sell it for like 80
Imo I’d save for something like a rumble 40 or ampeg RB110
About the headphones amp, is it just a small thing I can plug into the bass/guitar and then into my headphones?
It's also far more expensive
I'd expect it to be better by a lot
I think it’s underpriced tbh
You get the same exact features as a full katana amp
Plus being able to stream backing tracks to headphones from your phone
Also the stage feel thing which is sorta like a Spatial Audio thing
I don't think I'll ever need that ever, I can just smash it out of a speaker
Just a few effects available on it
How is it better than an amplug? Expect in features, which I really don't need
That's pretty cool and also very much over budget
Is it only effects then?
That is the appeal of a katana, infinite tone options really
The session mode is cool though
So it's the same in sound and usage, it just has a ton of effects, correct?
You can stream backing track to your headphones, but also make it automatically change tones enduring a song without you needing to do anything
Idk if it sounds the same, I imagine it sounding better being that it’s oss and their effects are pretty good
Also amp and can sims are good
Idk if a vox will have that being that it’s just a vox
I don't want an amp SIM please we already went over this
Not us but me and someone else
My dude it’s not a amp sim
Ok so
Digital amps can have different amp and cab resonances built in
This is a simulation
It changes how it sounds to try and get close to a certain amp or cab
So for bass you get 6 total I think
Well I mean you said amp sims are pretty good, I thought you meant like, amps sims on a pc, sorry
Guitar there’s more
I'll look for a review then
Nah I don’t use any software
With an amplugit’s basically designed to be a small vox amp that sounds like a vox amp and nothing else
I'll keep the katana go in mind then
Think I have some recordings
Oh, can I also plug regular headphones in a amp? Like the rumble 15
I don't need anything particularly good sounding, I'd just use it when playing at night
Just wondering if that's possible
I have the adapter, nice
