i think the rule mostly is you can use guitar on a bass amp but bass on guitar amp isnt ideal

#

cause guitar amps arent designed to withstand bass frequencies

#

"in general" so there sure are some exceptions

#

depends how loud you wanna play

pine blade
#

I don’t personally like bass amp for guitar but it’ll work

little badge
fervent latch
#

tho like small speakers will make bass really hard to hear

little badge
fervent latch
#

oops my bad

#

i thought the champion was bass?

#

I may be wrong

pine blade
#

@little badge ever thing about amp sims

little badge
fervent latch
#

for 60 bucks its hard to beat getting any amp tbh

little badge

fervent latch
#

whats the speaker size

#

if you know

little badge
fervent latch
#

i sometimes play guitar through my orange bass amp and it sounds good

#

i think fender one shouldnt have issues

little badge
#

ight ty

fervent latch
#

npp enjoy whatever youll end up getting

pine blade
#

I can plug in and play with my sims too

little badge
#

and i'd bang my guitar everywhere

pine blade
pine blade
#

Exaggeration

little badge
little badge
pine blade
little badge
#

if i wanna experiment with effects or whatever

#

for now i dont want additional clutter and cables i cant hide on my already busy desk

#

after all i can sell a used amp i get tired of it

pine blade
little badge
pine blade
little badge
#

so...

pine blade
little badge
#

i said i wanna buy a box that makes noises and plug and play
if i wanna experiment with effects ill get the sim amp thing

#

i dont understand how that isnt acceptable

#

can i please have my preferences?

I’m just giving ideas and suggestions not saying what to get

I found an used Fender Rumble 15 Bass Amp for 60 euros.

little badge
#

because if the answer is no, i cant get it

#

again, i found the thing for 60 euros. that was my budget, or something around 60

#

not 3 times the price

pine blade
#

Go do what ever you eant I won’t stop you

#

I just came to give suggestions and you went cry baby so have fun playing guitar

little badge
# pine blade I just came to give suggestions and you went cry baby so have fun playing guitar

cry baby? dude, holy shit
i asked advices for thing
you suggested something completely different, which is like, okay, but after the third time i decline, maybe, JUST MAYBE, get the hint.
Then you suggested something that costs 3 times as much as my original budget. my budget for the thing was something around that price.
Then you start saying random half-assed insults like "get a job"
If you dont wanna really help maybe dont talk at all

#

especially if you wanna say random bs

#

as i said already

as long as it doesnt sound like complete garbage with a guitar i'll be okay

pine blade
fervent latch
#

bro doesnt get it

little badge
little badge
#

i mean
which one of us

pine blade
little badge
pine blade
#

Bro angy

fervent latch
little badge
pine blade
pine blade
fervent latch
little badge
#

very kind and absolutely not at all an insult

little badge
little badge
# pine blade Tf I do I suggested stuff and bro threw a fit
  • i am looking for an used bass amp
  • i want an amp for now, not a sim amp
  • budget is around 60 euros, max 80
  • i live in italy, ill look for something local because nobody is gonna ship me a 10kg box for cheap
  • popular used websites here are Vinted, FB Marketplace and Subito, but dont go look for offers there directly
  • i dont care about effects for now
#

that said, do you have any advices that would be better than a Fender Rumble 15?

#

and also fit in the guidelines?

fervent latch
#

A rumble 15 new is around 130 euro from what i see so 60 is an absolute steal

pine blade
#

Yeah but it’s not the best for guitar imo that’s why I SUGGESTED save up more money to get something solid for both maybe a positive grid spark that does both guitar and bass

fervent latch
pine blade
#

But if you want it just get it

#

As o said I don’t particularly give a shit

little badge
pine blade
#

I did I’m not illiterate

#

Did you read the last little bit

little badge
pine blade
little badge
#

bro is actually a moron

fervent latch
#

bro suggested positive grid spark for bass

#

any credibility is gone

little badge
#

that this is still like triple the price tho

pine blade
fervent latch
#

4" speakers youd have to have your head next to the amp at night to hear any bass

#

but then again suggesting computer plugins proves quality isnt important for him

pine blade
#

Nope

pine blade
fervent latch
pine blade
fervent latch
fervent latch
pine blade
fervent latch
#

but if youre gonna buy from someone I'd check if it works, cause hefty discouns are always sus to me

pine blade
fervent latch
pine blade
#

They work awesome ly

pine blade
little badge
# fervent latch i know how hard it is to get anything shipped to italy tbh

oh that's not the main problem, i can find a lot of things in italy, but the problem is with shipping costs, isnt really worth it for a cheap amp. amp are big and heavy. 20-30 euros shipping when it's like half the price of the amp isnt really worth it, better buying local, or at worst, going to rome and have to carry the thing back, cheaper than shipping lol

pine blade
#

Must done some goofy ass shit to it lol

little badge
#

ill go to his house anyway

fervent latch
#

never tried an amp tho

little badge
#

ill ask my dad for a car ride lol

#

ill get turned into a pancake if i try to go with a bike there

fervent latch
#

yeee amps are way heavier lol

little badge
#

no more like someone is gonna hit me with their car

fervent latch
#

ahhh

#

fair enough

alpine basin
#

i think it might be a bit of a waste personally

#

to get a rumble 15

#

it'll work, but you're very limited with what you can do

#

id aim for at least a 10" speaker on a bass amp

#

bigger speaker, more low end at all volumes

#

reason it'll be so cheap is because no one buys them

little badge
alpine basin
little badge
#

If you can shoot some names at me I'll look them up

alpine basin
#

Afraid the rumble 15 is all you’ll get really and I still think it’s a waste. Imo go with a headphone amp.

#

Katana go gives you effects and a recording interface for just over 100 euro

#

Does both guitar and bass

#

Orange maybe is a brand you could look at

little badge
alpine basin
#

I’m talking about the katana go

#

Not the big amps

#

It only recently released

#

I have one and I love it

#

Use it for anything and everything when I don’t want to plug into a my combo amp

little badge
#

The katana itself new is over 100 euros by itself and I can't find a single one in my country used lol

alpine basin
#

Probably won’t find a GO used because it came out like a month ago

#

It should be like 125 euro or something

#

I paid about £100

little badge
#

Too much over budget

little badge
alpine basin
#

Yea you can do that, might struggle to get someone to buy it is the problem

little badge
#

At 40 someone is gonna buy it
Also given that the dude selling lives in the middle of the countryside and I live in the city

alpine basin
#

Easiest way would be to trade it in

little badge
#

Where?

alpine basin
#

To a music shop

#

If there is any

little badge
#

They're gonna give me a penny and a chewing gum for it lol

alpine basin
#

Depending on the condition you might get close to what you paid

#

Maybe a bit less

little badge
#

I'll give it a try

#

Eventually

alpine basin
#

They’ll probably sell it for like 80

#

Imo I’d save for something like a rumble 40 or ampeg RB110

little badge
alpine basin
#

Yea

#

You can output it as well to anything with an aux in

little badge
#

Or not, in case it's bad

alpine basin
#

Yea, but the katana go is better than every other headphone amp

#

Like by a lot

little badge
#

I'd expect it to be better by a lot

alpine basin
#

I think it’s underpriced tbh

#

You get the same exact features as a full katana amp

#

Plus being able to stream backing tracks to headphones from your phone

#

Also the stage feel thing which is sorta like a Spatial Audio thing

little badge
alpine basin
#

Just a few effects available on it

little badge
little badge
#

Is it only effects then?

alpine basin
#

That is the appeal of a katana, infinite tone options really

#

The session mode is cool though

little badge
alpine basin
#

You can stream backing track to your headphones, but also make it automatically change tones enduring a song without you needing to do anything

#

Idk if it sounds the same, I imagine it sounding better being that it’s oss and their effects are pretty good

#

Also amp and can sims are good

#

Idk if a vox will have that being that it’s just a vox

little badge
#

I don't want an amp SIM please we already went over this

#

Not us but me and someone else

alpine basin
#

My dude it’s not a amp sim

#

Ok so

#

Digital amps can have different amp and cab resonances built in

#

This is a simulation

#

It changes how it sounds to try and get close to a certain amp or cab

#

So for bass you get 6 total I think

little badge
#

Well I mean you said amp sims are pretty good, I thought you meant like, amps sims on a pc, sorry

alpine basin
#

Guitar there’s more

little badge
alpine basin
#

Nah I don’t use any software

#

With an amplugit’s basically designed to be a small vox amp that sounds like a vox amp and nothing else

little badge
#

I'll keep the katana go in mind then

alpine basin
#

Think I have some recordings

little badge
#

I don't need anything particularly good sounding, I'd just use it when playing at night

#

Just wondering if that's possible

alpine basin
#

with an adapter yes

#

for whatever reason it has the big headphone port

little badge
#

I have the adapter, nice

alpine basin
#

just examples of tones i got with a katana go

#

recording is fairly easy which is another reason i like it
