#Would you recommend a Ibanez RG550 for someone who wants a versatile guitar?

im not a huge fan of the finishes of the RG550 genesis, and also how the neck looks
this is the one i have and it's great
im not brand loyal or too keen on a certain guitar, so ill check out the charvel
if you see yourself changing tunings more than once a week
id avoid any floyd rose locking trems
i change from E standard to drop D on the daily, so ill keep looking
hey, do you have any similar hardtailed guitars then? im just kinda lost between choices lol, I was thinking about a player plus tele or player jaguar, but Im open for options
you dont have to go full hardtail
a regular two point trem can handle drop D fine
consider a Charvel DK24 or something along those lines
Volas also look nice
well honestly, ive never used a trem system and they arent a deal breaker for me
the Schecter NJ HSS is also a nice looker
when it comes to versatility i'd just consider a trem. They do everything hardtails do, but more, with the one drawback of heavy drop tuning requires slight adjustments
but again drop D is almost nothing to worry about on a trem
drop D is the lowest, only thing lower is BADGBE when i play rusty cage from sound garden lol
EVH is something id consider as well then
their wolfgang special and 5150 guitars both come stick with a d tuna
You could get a non recessed double locking trem
Oh wow
I didn’t see that I thought I was at the bottom of the page 💀
thanks for the suggestion, but honestly, those guitars are ugly as shit lol
Get any guitar with a floyd you want and put a hard tailer on it
lol
id go charvel then
Wolfgangs are pretty ugly tbh
charvel does normal two point trems and hardtails
Can you tell me your budget and where you are
yea there's also frankie
and striped series
they're good value for what they are
the d tuna is neat
the music man axis though
incredible guitar
i personally dont like the musicman axis
its kinda uncomfortable sitting down
oh wait nvm
dont
