Sonics are not great if you spend just a bit more like 40-50 dollars you’ll be able to get an affinity I’m pretty sure which is a lot better
You should also look at Yamaha pacificas thye are also great

I have a Squier sonic esquire (similar to telecaster) for my first guitar. I really like it as a beginner guitar.
