#is this guitar worth the price?

It seemed new for sure
It was on the wall
Do guitar stores have extras in stock in the back?
I would imagine it’s new
Yes
Most of the time unless they’re quite small
It's a Sam ash
Do you think they'd let me choose between the samemodels? Like the patterns aren't made equal
What?
What do you mean like
Try the another of the same?
I would imagine
If they have any in stock
There's variations of the uhhh you know the lines in the wood and stuff
I saw Sweetwater did something like that
Where they have pictures of different models and the buyer can pick whichever pattern they prefer
Oh right okay
Just ask your local if you can do that
They’re making a sale so it’s probably all good for them to - if they say no don’t get it
Also would you think I should upgrade my Amp too? I have a Roland micro cube
Since they're doing a closing sale might as well buy what I can
Yes
Before you drop 800 on a guitar, you’ll be better off splitting the budget in half for a guitar + amp
400 on each
Or about 200-300 on the amp
I think guitar rig 7 is fine with me right now
I have my Roland micro cube gx and Roland portable amp
what amp should I get?
get a decent combo for like 300
funnily enough theres an amp thread under this one
when it comes to the guitar i'd say yeah thats the price they usually go for
SE custom 24s are usually around 1200CAD here which is like 890 US
they might let you check different ones out to see the figuring in the maple, its a veneer and not an actual figured top
Apparently it's the only one they have TT
They are doing a promotion so that if I do buy a guitar through one of their sales associates I can get a $50 gift card from their store
And even if you return the guitar you'll keep the $50 gift card
So essentially I can return the guitar and buy it again with the $50 gift card
should i get a marshall amp or a katana?
I’d personally go for a katana 100
Also what's a cabinet?
id recommend a katana at low price points
a cabinet is what holds the speakers inside
basically a wooden frame with speakers
and a guitar 'head' is the amp circuit itself
So you put a speaker in there?
you cant use a cab without a head
i dont know what that is
that's a cabinet
is that a combo amp or a cab
from marshall
oh gotcha
you need an amp head to use with a cab
but a combo amp is both an amp circuit and cab basically
would be paired with that
would a setup like that amp head and cabinet be the endgame setup?
depends on what your endgame is
i still have combos and i enjoy them for recording
they can be mic'd up for stage too
heads and cabs can also be mic'd up but their output would generally be more
so they're more for big events?
like concerts etc
i suppose so yes, but not just for that. They just generally have more output
you might need to make sure the output of the head and the power rating of the cab are compatible though
combos are everything in one, heads and cabs are interchangable
i recommend just a combo
are virtual amps bad?
i'm just wondering because i spent around 250 dollars on the minifuse 2 audio interface and i'm using this free guitar amp 7 and honestly it's not that bad. it also comes with a lot of different presets and components. i also just realized that i could just plug my speaker into it too so essentially it acts as a real amp.
i think it's great to be honest, yes i could ge better tones etc once i figure out the components and also there are the limitations of the virutal amp but i think it's enough for me
i'd have to see if there's a big difference in it to justify me spenidng $300 for an amp
or i could sell both my amps and buy one good one
hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
i really like the uh pacifica shape, would it be a waste of money to just buy another pacifica?
i'm looking at the Yamaha PACIFICA611VFM
I have the Pacifica 612 and I could not recommend it more
looks great really comfortable to play really nice sound also really nice parts and features that you don’t see on many guitars at that price
I heard the pacifica 611 is also a really good instrument
Do you think it'll make much of a difference coming from the Pacifica 521?
I don’t own one so not too sure about the 521 but judging purely by parts it’s a bit better and has nicer aesthetics imo
