Can you read this kind of notation? This would be E major 022100. This is showing the frets to press down on each of the strings, starting from the thickest to the thinnest

Yes. The Bm might be tricky, but you can actually press your index finger over the second fret and use your middle, ring and pinky to get the other notes

So the index finger presses both the thinnest and the second thickest strings

Just wanted to make a quick point about the Bm
You don't need to barre the index finger
Just
X2443X is just 1 finger per string this is fine

So you won't have to do any of the '3 ways to cheat Bm' videos.
Of course you can make open versions but there's no need 🙂
