I'm looking to get my first capo for my electric guitar. I'm a complete newbie to guitars, I've narrowed down my options to:
Planet Waves NS Lite
Planet Wave tri action
D'addario tri action
Kyser
Shubb
G7th

Any thoughts on which one I should get? Budget isn't a huge concern

I would propably say shubb or g7th if budget is not an issue

#

Heard that the shubb is good but don’t own one personally

#

I have a g7th and it’s really nice and works very well at all the frets

Shubb are my favourite, I've been using them since 2007 and never had any problems

Seems like Shubb is a good choice

#

Shubb appears to have 3 distinct shapes of capos. Which one should I use?

#

Or what are the main differences in their functions

Thats alright no worries

#

the difference between the silver and gold one is the silver has a roller on which i think is a little better

tender cove
#

Ah yeah I was wondering about that

#

Gold looks like it acts as a stopper?

vernal cobalt
#

yea

the bevel presses against the bottom of the clamp

Also make sure to get the right model for your guitar, Shubb no. 1 will work for most electric and steel string acoustics. Model no. 4 is thought to be used for fretboards with a 7.25" radius.
