#What do you guys think?

Do you really need the pickup?
I'd rather a Yamaha FS800, personally
Having owned a Yamaha FS700 and a Fender CC60s, I'd go Yamaha
For that price, you should get a solid top and not a laminated top, IMO
whats the difference
Solid top is a single piece of wood (well it's a piece of wood that's cut in half and bookmatched), basically more resonant
Laminate is like, laminated wood - could be high quality stuff on high end guitars, but on a budget guitar it'll be something closer to plywood
I dont get why its better on a high quality geetar but okay
Well, most high quality guitars will use solid top, back and sides. In rare cases, like some Yairis, the back and sides may be technically "laminate" but definitely not laminated together the same way a budget guitar would be
Just because it says "laminate" doesn't mean there's a single way it's made, it just means wood is laminated together
Could be parallel with the grain, cross grain, using different woods in the core
But even in those cases, a solid top is desirable, with the back and sides laminated for stiffness or tonal qualities
