I've been thinking about buying a distorsion pedal like a proco rat 2 or ds 2 (maybe you have other suggestions) but a friend of mine told me to buy a processor (wich has more effects and is cheaper) but idk if it is of good quality. Here is a link for the processor(Mooer GE100 Box Guitar Multi FX):https://www.thomann.de/ro/mooer_ge100_box_guitar_multi_fx.htm?atr=true
#Should I buy a pedal or a guitar processor?

I own a GE100 and i'll tell you its average at best, theres a lot of settings but none of them sound incredible (outside of effects such as modulation and certain distortion boxes), for 200 dollars id say get the 150 or 200 if you're willing, theyre prolling gonna be better.
What’s your budget?
Maybe consider an amp like a Roland micro cube or blackstar id3
Multifx units aren’t really good at this price
but i already have an amp
i have a boss katana 50 mk2
i just want a distorsion pedal
What kind of distortion? What sounds?
something buzzy that has some crunch to it
like foo fighters, nirvana, smashing pumkins
the Proco Rat distortion was used by Foo Fighters and Nirvana if you want to check that one out
i use a ds1 with my katana for nirvana and it sounds great, its a pretty versatile pedal
but at your budget you could get the ds2 which can basically do everything the ds1 does and more
Boss ds1, or other 100$ overdrives
There are a plethora of $100 overdrives to choose from
Just look up best distortion pedal under 110$ and see what pops up on YouTube

Don’t forget to consider the Boss DS1, it might be the best out of all of these for your sound
thanks a lot

Your amp already has this built in, you’re going to wind up disappointed about how little of a difference throwing a distortion pedal in front of it will actually be. You also need to budget for a power supply, 9v is a complete pita and you’ll need to remember to always unplug the pedal if you go that route
i know i already have distorsion but i want to turn it on with my foot while playing, thanks for informing me tho
you can get a footswitch for the katana instead
