#Mid-Range Katana level amp, preferably tube

Katana isn’t tube amp and what’s your budget?
Yeah I only said Katana to describe the budget, my budget is around 2-400 usd
Good luck finding a tube amp in that price range
I mean used probably can
What’s the price of a good tube?
Around 700 that’s when you start seeing tube amps
And most times you need a cab too
Unless you get a combo obviously
Mid-range level amps kind of suck. It's better you either buy beginner amps or pro. Amps between 400 to 700 aren't really that good
Aren’t the evh 5150 amps like 600? (I don’t know the price in dollars 💀)
you might find one of those secondhand idk
It's like $1000 new or something
For the worst one
The better ones are more around $2000
Damn so should I hold out and get a boss nextone (not tube but close enough)
I’m running out of a crush 12 currently btw
I think you're a little bit too focused on the word "tube". Like I said, the majority of mid-range amps suck.
What type of music do you play, what genres
Beginner amplifiers like the fender lt25 and the boss katana 50 beat so many mid-range amps, it's actually sad
Wait I thought the katana 50 was mid range
Yeah sorry I’m gonna look beyond tube amps now I just thought that anything more than 200 should be a tube
Anyway im a new person now i think I’ll just go for the katana
Nah, good tube amps start at like $1,000
There's the following ranges-
Below $100: waste of money range, would be better to flush your wallet
$100 - $300: beginner range
$300 - $800: mid range (don't buy, these suck more than beginner)
$800 - $5000: pro range
In that case do you know if the boss nextone is just a fancy katana
It's an older model than the katana
Because it looks way more appealing to me but I’m not gonna try to get anything mid range
Looking through server messages, as well as some videos, no one ever really talks about it
You wouldn't be interested in something like the katana artist or something? They have more expensive versions of the katana
Do you know about amp simulator
Yeah that’s just like emulating another amp right
On a computer. Amp simulators have the best tone under 1,000 dollars, hands down. They're not going to be as convenient as a physical amp though
I think I’ll stick with a physical amp for now
Something I can gig with eventually
What type of music do you want to play
That’s kinda the issue, now I’m looking to play basically everything mainly funk, jazz and metal
So I think I’d go for the katana or jazz chorus
The small 5150 is 750$
The lunch box one
The iconic combo is like 800$ something
But you’d still need a cab
The prs mt15 is also that price
Awesome little thing
Alr thanks for the help I’ll either get the katana or jc22
Where? I'm seeing the combo for 1k
Harley Benton makes some tube amps, and Darrel Braun Guitar has some videos on cheaper tubes
NVM I was looking at the head
I was talking the lunch box head
So you could probably find one used for like 400 or 500
