Even tho this guitar is pretty old now, do you think its still worth picking up for 850$?

I just love the design of it, many people suggest to buy second hand music mans but thats still way more and it just adds up so much in the shipping too

if you really like it, i think it's worth buying

there isn't really any other option on the market that is like a sterling majesty, particularly because of its heel joint which is a big plus for most people

Idk how good is the sterling bridge, but you can always lock it, but it is a little pricey but good. Nowadays the sterling have crazy finishes and dimarzio pickups but they are more around 2000

i find that sterling 2 point bridges fine, they're no gotoh's but functionally theyre decent and given a good setup they'll be resasonably stable

so basically nothing special, nothing bad, just very generic

the main drawing power of the sterling musicman to me is its heel joint

everything else is relatively average

I would advocate for the dimarzio pickup version just to have a powerhouse right away but eh

I'd still get it over a solar

the solar I would buy are more expensive
