#What songs should I learn?

So I'd always say to learn songs you want to play first and foremost, but if you want my personal choice of songs for each of those artists, it'd be:
In Bloom - Nirvana
While My Guitar Gently Weeps - (technically not the beatles but it's still george harrison)
Can't Stop/Under the Bridge - RHCP
Purple Haze - Jimi Hendrix
each of these songs pose something slightly different that will help you broaden your playing, but the first and foremost thing should be that you enjoy playing them
learn what you like. for all that material you mentioned, there's prolly lots of youtube tutorials of varying constructive nature. you can get help here when you choose a song. theres no "should".. i would suggest learning songs. the harmony and melody. not just "the guitar part".. but if thats what you want to do? thats fine. you can press play on probably any nirvana song and find note for note tablature you can look at that tells you where to put your fingers, or at least where another person thinks you should put your fingers. if thats what you are looking for? go for it!
I learnt A LOT of techniques from
Dire Straits - Sultans of Swing
Metallica - Nothing Else Matters (intro)
Led Zeppelin - Stairway To Heaven
Jim Croce - Time In A Bottle
I should brush up on my Hendrix! Thanks!
Thank you! I appreciate it
Voodoo child, purple haze, little wing, yellow ledbetter
I'd recommend learning Love Buzz and School, both by Nirvana
Both Love Buzz and School have some difficult pull-offs and hammer-ons, at least in my opinion
