What's your definition of travel amp? Something you can put in the car, or something you're going to fly with, or...?
Yamaha THRs sound pretty good IMO, although I've never tried a metal sound out of one
something to fly with
Ah, if you're going to fly with it... I think even the THR5 is pretty sizable
Sorry I mean like... It's pretty big
ive never done it and im lowkey worried about it getting destroyed
oh lol
Even the THR5 might be too big for your situation is what I meant to say 😅 would suggest you look at one in person
I've tried a Katana Mini before... I didn't really love it, but understandable that the small speakers can only do so much
ye makes sense
Spark Mini is the absolute best, with the THR at a close second, the thing is, the THR is literally 500$, and the Spark Mini and Spark Go are literally better, so I much prefer the spark mini and Spark go
The Spark line is undefeated imo
Where your going to, are you relying on the Amp or is it going to be mic'd? If there's a pa you could also look into mini amps with a direct out/line out functionality.
@signal flower what’s your budget?
250 aud
Does it have to be an actual amp with speakers or are headphone amps okay, too? For the latter I can recommend the Tech21 Fly Rig series
Spark mini
i'd recommend wrapping it up and putting it in a nice case, should keep it safe
