Humbuckers sound a little bit different from single coils, more of a darker and thicker sound, which is also hum cancelling. Also, this guitar has 24 frets, so the neck pickup sounds a little different, look up the warmoth video on 24 fret vs 22 fret for the sound difference.

The advantage of 24 frets is that you get a double octave, so ideal if you play very high up on the neck

with HSS what I like to do is to use the neck or middle pickup for rhythm and use the H bridge pickup for a good boost during a solo

you can do the contrary too using the bridge pickup as rhythm and the neck pickup for example for a solo or just for a clean part
