first the katana 100 lol
For metal, yes for physical amps... But I would say an interface like the scarlett solo and Neural DSP amp sims would be better for metal
5150, orange, several heads are around 600
I dont wanna be a guitarist whos heard different at different parts
I assumed that after the katana, amps between the range of 400-900 aren't going to be an upgrade from a katana and good metal amps start in the thousand dollar range. Hence why I was advocating for Neural DSP
Get a processor and plug it into foh speakers whats easier than that
Or an audio interface
I'm not good at the shoegaze part tho
Same
I'm a metal amp connoisseur tho
ENGL, EVH, Peavey, Soldano, Victory, Mesa/Boogie, revv, randall, rivera, hughes & kettner, PRS, diezel, wizard, splawn, blackstar, fortin, laney, marshall, Friedman, orange, carvin, bogner, and bugera.
digital is a solution but I won't use a laptop as a rig
Headrush prime
Did I miss any brands you would put on there for metal
in the bedroom (which is the usual case yeah)
The fxs there are just the same
nothing compared to a laptop
I use an axefx on stage
well, I use it everywhere obviously
If i had that much of money i wouldnhire someone to play instead of me lol
if I had even more money I wouldn't even need to leave my bed
a stable computer + vst + a good interface + sorts of backups = not that cheap
the real power of vst is reamping inside the computer
Do you pay for vsts
if I was to get one it would be the petrucci 😄
I have a pair of free ones but I never used them, I have an axefx
I use a processor and route the di signal to pc and arrange it there with vsts its the most useful thing ever
Eh cracks exist, i dont pay but i pray for the artists and the engineers
yes, it can totally nail those genres
With tone studio. The default tones are meh
Their default tone gets up to EVH tone, but it doesn't really get into metal territory.
its still very versatile even withotu tone studio
Hence why I prefer the lt25 for metal. Although I haven't had the opportunity to mess around with tone studio
we still don't know which usage @vale burrow asks for
