ive played that ibanez before

and its a great bass for doing bass things

so both are fine

its pretty much a matter of if you want to pay for the yamaha because you might think that looks better

but otherwise those are two great basses to start on

if you really like the way the yamaha looks over the ibanez and you have the money, then get the yamaha

if you dont, then the ibanez will do just as well

speakers can be louder or quieter

depending on the wattage of the amplifier, which is where the knobs are

thats why guitarists have so many different amps but they all run through the same speakers

its not really about the speakers, its about the amplifier inside, how much wattage, what kind of preamp, and other stuff
