The tone of guitars only matters if you are playing clean. As soon as you add any gain or distortion, that doesn't matter. Any guitar will sound good if you have a good amp

The reason why I'm saying the Ibanez isn't because it's better quality, I imagine they're both roughly the same quality. I'm going with Ibanez because of the playability. Ibanez typically has thinner necks, which allows you to play faster

Yeah and those differences are very minimal unless you are playing clean. While they exist, they aren't important. Playability is better on a guitar rather than the tone of it

Tried it. Decent sounding but fretboard feels rough. My first electric was a ibanez grx70qa , it's still a great guitar
