what do you guys think of the Fender American Vintage II Stratocaster?

So this guy on Facebook marketplace is willing to sell me his av ii in fiesta red for $1600 and it retails for $2000 new. Do you guys think it’s a good deal? I’ll provide pics

AVRIs vary from guitar to guitar

They’re built with standard vintage specs, but it’s not like they selected the best wood or hand made them like boutique builders

So, it could be good or not very good, so you gotta try the guitar out in person to find out

I worked in retail and typically if you sell gear, they give you 1/4 of what it's worth brand new and sell it for half of what it's worth brand new

I'd do maybe $1,200

At most 1500

If you are a diehard Strat fan and you want nothing else other than a vintage Strat with all of the good and bad things from the old guitar then go for it

But otherwise I feel like there could be a better alternative
