ye strats are usually equipped with single coil pickups those are best for clean tones but if u want something like a strat but still wanna play metal id look into a tele they come with humbuckers

so i wouldnt say look into teles purely if the OP wants a humbucker, i would just look into guitars in general and see which are sold with humbuckers

Yeah you can play metal with a strat. Certain amps work well with strats for metal, many Mesas for one

You can install hot rails pickups if you need more bite, get a HSS strat or route the body and install dual humbuckers.

I found this really cool Strat with dimarzios and a Floyd. I 100% think it would work for metal, but idk about your budget.
