I’m a beginner myself and the Yamaha Pacifica 012 works really well for me, little on the heavy side but honestly really good for a first buy

ive played both the pacifica 012 and squier affinity rigorously and a lot of em, my voted still at the Musi

#

theres not much info on musi cus its a super obscure brand

#

but ive played a lot of cheap guitars, and the musi is the one cheap brand that ive bought twice

#

heres mine

#

reason i recommend musis over a lot of other cheap brands is because quality control is pretty nice while still offering specs that are otherwise only seen on guitars double or triple its price

#

i.e. stainless steel frets, locking tuners, bone nut, steel bridge, cts pots, mechanical switch, roasted maple neck, etc

#

i believe theyre the best option if u want pure quality

#

the downside is theres a limited option of them

MOst of my guitars cost $1-3k but I purchased one of these Tagima Strats for $270 and its one of my favorites in my stable. I confess that I did upgrade the pups to a JB junior in the bridge, and Fender noiseless in the mid and neck, a graphite nut, and a big block from FU Tone. So total cost was closer to $400. But out of the box this thing required minimal set up.
