The band Amen š„ŗ rip casey
Tourniquet is a super underrated band. Marty Friedman played on 3 of their albums.
Not necessarily underrated, but don't hear them talked about a lot these days, even though they were VERY influential for Rock and Metal... RAINBOW.
Milli vanilli (i know they cheated). I know they shocked everyone.
U2. Really big, but not enough
Def Leppard. Fkn bring it on man.
Fleetwood mac/Stevie Nicks
Electric Light Orchestra. Amazing grooves
INXS. Just Wow!
Roxette!
Billy Ocean
Downshift, Armani Death Machine, Belter, Hedshel, 13 Days, Coilbox
lady pank (polish band)

Bolt Thrower
this guy i know through reddit/instagram. he has his own little
project called "The Homekeeper's". in my opinion he makes good music, does it all himself with analog gear and he's about 19, give him some love
Anyone here listen to dokken?
pinkshift
back in the early - mid 90s a bit, but not so much anymore.
Beatles
No. They're pretty much the opposite of underrated.
Just came upon this band and have to put them on the list, cause they're amazing!!
The Pretty Reckless
Title Fight
Yes
The Beaches
Holy shit they are so good, Iām like rlly into heavy metal, punk, hard rock etc, but this alt pop stuff that they are doing is legitimately so fkn good
Good kid
Metallica
Flotsam and Jetsam
Liquid bear
I was scrolling through old responses and saw Maneskin popping up a fair amount. I actually think they're ok, and the other year when their song was constantly on the radio, it was refreshing to heal actual instruments instead of generic singing over generic trap beat #4. Also the singer has a unique voice.
Underrated is crazy though
I swear every album they make charts
judah and the lion
The Cult
Primus
Jimmy Eat World
Muse, just in my opinion
Roxferry
I think Alice Cooper is pretty underrated. Most people have probably heard poison and school's out, but his 70s stuff like Killer and Billion Dollar Babies is great.
Depends on age I would say. During his time up until about the early 90s he was super-popular and revered.
Now, not a lot of young people know about him.
But good that people are still discovering his legendary music from the 70s....
children of bodom
Bruh š
Black stone cherry is really good
Fu Manchu trust me itās great, look them up
listened to fu manchu a lot, positive vibes
the black keys are the most goated underrated band in my opinion
Reuben, super underrated alt rock band from the 2000s
Nobody else sounds like them
Theyāre like porcupine tree, at the drive in, jimmy eat world mixed into one
Hm cool
Opeth
Slash Ft miles Kennedy and the conspirators
Slash is obviously well know but his band with the conspirators is amazing and not many people know abt it
Guys, what do You think about Grateful Dead ?
Not my cup of tea, but they do have some good songs.
oh my god bro not every band with a strange name is satanic
there are hardly any actual satanic bands
What is it with you and this Satanism mania? You worry about the Grateful Dead, but not about recent Pop-groups with clearly deeply satanic imagery and content.

POST PROFIT
Idk if this counts as a separate band but peter greens fleetwood mac is so phenomenal
-
There For Tomorrow- An emo band. I know their song "A Little Faster" because of watching the Ben 10 montage clips using that song back in the day. Nobody except a few people have heard of this band I suppose.
-
Missouri- Known for their song "Movin' On" but are not as recognized as they had minor success and were short-lived in the 70s hard rock era.
-
Magdalena Bay- An underrated experimental and psychedelic pop rock band from California who make interesting artistic and escapist and trippy music that is satisfying to listen to, but they are not as recognized as other mainstream or alternative artists/bands.
Mark Whalen (and the buttermilk boys)
Wine Lips
Minor Threat
Focus (known for hocus pocus but they have some other awesome songs)
Tourniquet. A super great metal band, and Marty Friedman played on 3 of their albums

two door cinema club, not just what you know just any song of theirs
Incubus
I think Thin Lizzy is a severely underrated band. I don't hear people talk about their music that often, which is surprising considering how good it is, and the impact they had on a lot of metal bands.
I agree

Artillery
Dymna Lotva Black metal from Belarus I found then by accident btw I aint even from Belarus
They're pretty well known and well rated among thrash metal circles, so no.
Probably among thrash elitists, generally definitely not
Actually scrap that, Iāve been around multiple metal communities and even big ones and itās very rare to find someone who knows artillery
Not underrated in a general sense but in music scene the Grateful Dead are terribly underrated
Jerry Garcia was one of the best guitarists of all time
And Bob Weir, he did rhythm like no one else does
does rhythm I guess, he's still alive and playing
Not as underrated as Voivod.
Dimension Hatrƶss is simply one of the greatest and most supreme achievements in metal music.
Easily in the top 3 metal recs from the 80's.
Voivod should have the respect Metallica has from the surface rock/metal dummies but on the eyes of almost everyone else who is actually into metal.
The world would be a much better place if all the wannabe music connoiseurs picked up Dimension Hatrƶss as the best metal album of all time instead of the Master of Puppets pick every goddamn of those "hollistic" pretentious music websites' rankings have every time.
Theyāre relatively at the same level
At the end this isnāt a competition, both of them are completely underrated
And artillery is NOT well known
Again, generally speaking, no.
Itās even more underrated than Voivod
All metal elitists say that about their underground band that they know, there shouldnāt be a ābest metal albumā because metal cannot be defined in one album. Metal is not only sophisticated but itās also extremely diverse
The thing with bands like Metallica is that they have mainstreamed and shaped the popular of face Metal
That is why they are named the ābestā of metal
And ofcourse because their music is still epic till today
And here in this case with voivod, If you want statistics, Voivod has more higher streamed songs than artillery and even has a song with 3 million streams, they have 4K subs on yt and voivod has 12K, there is a big amount of artillery songs on yt with only a couple hundred views often just at 800 views and 10 likes.
Again, this is no competition on whoās more underrated however, the fact is : BOTH bands are underrated
Annnnnd while I have just listened to a number of songs from voivod and I actually am fond of it however, I do not think people would appreciate itās fixed scifi sort of theme always
I never said that. I just said that I'm sick of clueless music "nerds" picking 84-86 Metallica as the best metal ever over any of the far more musically-interesting albums of that same decade.
lmao
"I have not listened to Voivod, so I don't think the rest of the people would like it" ahh moment š
āThe world would be a much better place if all the wannabe music connoisseurs picked up Dimension Hatrƶss as the best metal album of all timeā
And you missed the point
I said have listened to a number of songs, I really love the riffs and vocals however, I donāt know if others would be fond of its constant scifi theme
i agree, their guitar work is often dismissed due to dave's vocals
Iām not too sure if megadeth is underrated
their guitar work and drum work is better than metallicaās imo
just vocals are atrocious
No.
hot take but kirk hammet is only slightly better of a lead guitarist than dave (in terms of writing solos)
kirk sounds like hes on drugs when he solos, that damn wah pedal and the stupid whammy tricks
Silverchair, perhaps?
Loop zoop
Nirvana
I love silverchairā¤ļø
Kino
Pretty much all of the metalcore bands that actually spawned the subgenre from the h8000 scene. Majority of the metalcore posted in here is metallic pop which is not metalcore and just has been using the label since 2010. Converge, Botch, Congress and Liar are good starting points for the OGs, and for modern stuff anything from The Coming Strife or Ephyra/Daze records is carrying the torch.
Music video by The Vines performing Winning Days.
Dave Grohl called the Vines a Nirvana Rip Off(which is not even true lol) but after highly evolved they actually evolved into like some psychedelic garage angle with the rest of their albums
also they were literally one of the most influential garage rock bands according to alex turner and tame impala and the killers
