For me the Brown looks better and I’ve seen enough of green bursts
The first one is a prestige - made in japan
Second one is premium - made in Indonesia
Made in japan is better quality, forget about specs
Also considering that one now, its gonna be basically my only guitar so can I definitely ignore specs, need it to be fairly versatile
Do you find it's only good for metal or is it good for everything
I'm playing mostly metal on it, I do sometimes play some andy timmons stuff on it
metal sounds better tho
but I don't play much of anything else to be able to tell you accurately
cleans sound great as well
I can send you a sound clip if you like ?
Thanks, That's sounds really good
Thanks. What are you looking for sound wise ?
If you want it to sound like a strat, it won't sound like a strat
Basically I have a squire telecaster atm and want to get somthing better, I really like these but if they are sorta just for metal idk if I should get something else
that's why I'm asking what are you looking for
you can technically play anything on any guitar
there's no rules
it just depends on the sound you're after
a guitar does certain things better than some other guitar
like this one would chug better than a telecaster
a telecaster would twang better than this one
etc
If I can get this sound I think I will be happy with it regardless

that's a 100% yes 😄
Yea I think I'll get that one then, I do like the look of the rgt1220pb but I think this one being a prestige is the decider
iirc the bridge pickup had something to do with Eddie as well, @olive carbon probably can confirm
similar to a pickup he was working towards or something like that, I can't find when we talked about it
Yea I've heard loads of people say the tone zone one is really good
so yeah, it will do van halen haha
I tune it like once a month cuz I'm anal but it doesn't shift much
Since panema is the only song ik that is different, everything is half step lower
Tuning up a Floyd Rose trem can really be a pain. But I have a quick and easy method to get it up to tune in no time.
00:00 Intro
00:58 Start from Flat
02:36 Floyd Tuning Method
04:08 Outro
Could you quickly change from standard to that
ah standard to E flat ?
Yea
I believe that won't be quick unless your bridge is fixed
that'd require a setup I think
Could I technically just play everything a fret lower
sure but what will you do when you wanna play the low Eb note
I'd rather just get a different guitar for Eb tuning if you wanna frequently changes tunings lol
or get a hardtail
I would but I wouldn't be able to dive bomb
true
Did not realize it was like that, will probably not change the tuning then
Yeah, apparently the Tone Zone was a prototype for Eddie that he ultimately rejected, but DiMarzio then sold it as the Tone Zone.
Could you link to that message if you remember and it's not too much trouble. I'd like to read it again.
The story was in here.

"LD: Sterling told me that both of the new bridge
pickups were loaded into Music Man guitars and
Ed really liked both of the new pickups. Dudley,
Sterling, Eddie and Steve Lukather were all play
ing the guitars. They were stuck and Ed couldn’t
make up his mind which he liked better. He was
switching back and forth and Luke said “One,
that one” pointing at the the guitar with Pickup
B. So pickup A was rejected by a hair and it was
Steve Lukather who made the final call. (Luke
still has the number 3 Music Man Van Halen.)
I loved pickup A, the one that wasn’t chosen,
and released it as part of the DiMarzio line later
that year naming it The Tone Zone
®.
SB: The Tone Zone® is louder, but the pickup
in the Music Man has warmer, more focused
mids, pretty similar to the damaged pickup I
heard at the studio."
