Ibanez is usually more cost efficient than schecter, but they’re pretty different
Ibanez necks in particular are very different from (most) schecters
As is the usual design (HSH basswood or alder vs HH mahogany)
Metal Strat 1300€
Yeah I would probably go with Ibanez, I recommend looking up different types of fretboards and seeing what neck style you like the best. I like the wizard
Its really hard to beat a solid Ibanez RG. If you have a guitar store nearby go to it and play a few different ibanez or schecter guitars and find one that feels good to play
Which series in the rg line though
Ive got a 450 and its a great guitar, but theres room to move higher in the rg line for better fit and finish
at your price range, aim for a used prestige
Alternatively, check the Harley Benton Amarok 6 or fusion 3, they're pretty good
I just got an Amarok 6 for 400€ and the thing slaps hard
Leaving you budget to upgrade pickups or whatever you like
Imo the ultimate shredder guitar for me is the schecter sls elite. Same price, and it’s phenomenal
Super thin neck, beautiful neck thru, and multi voicing
All with an awesome finish
Ibanez is great at the thin neck HSH super strat thing.
What's the benefits of hsh over HSS
Humbucker neck. Generally for heavier music imo
With my current HSS configuration, I only use bridge and neck position with bridge being for heavy stuff and neck being for cleans. I feel like if I had hsh I would use bridge for distorted rhythm, middle for clean, and neck for distorted lead
I like the louder humbucker neck over a single for soloing with some gain for example
When i had a HSH guitar i used the neck (split) and middle a lot (4th position) for cleans
The trick is a low output middle single coil
I always had balance issues for high gain with hss
I should say hitter pickups
With some typical singles and a low output bridge that works
If you get a higher output bridge then try to get singles to match it becomes harder to find a balancing set imo
