#How do teams have "bad" strategies?
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
No like you know people say ferrari has bad strategies
What is the strategy?
like is it the tyre choices or how they approach turns
Tyre choices, the timing to enter the pits to make said tyre choices, and numerous on-track decisions like telling their drivers to swap places, or telling them to push/coast, etc.
Ferrari is almost traditionally very bad at it at the worst times. Their decisions are often wonky, and they sometimes take ages to actually make that decision (to the point that a good strategy call is no longer one).
Look at Ferrari and you know enough bruh
“bad strategy” means the team made poor decisions during the race which cost the driver his positions or overall result.
Basically Teams have to decide when to pit, which tires to use, and how to react to things like safety cars or changing weather. If they pit at the wrong time, choose the wrong tires, or misjudge the situation on track, the driver can lose places even if they were performing well.
Hope you got it🙌
An example of it is the 2025 quatar gp with mclarens pitting choices. Maybe watch a video on someone crashing out over that so you can see a good example of trash stragety. You will also get better at recognizing bad stragety once you watch more and more F1. Enjoy 2026!
This is a good read
