is Sainz 6th?
Yes
i see we both don't rate all the 2nd drivers very highly
Or do we rate the first drivers very highly?
a bit of both? probably a bit more of column A for me though
especially for sainz/perez
what's our prediction for the Alonso/Aston Martin/Papa Stroll relationship?
- Verstappen
- Hamilton
- Leclerc
- Sainz
- Perez
- Russell
- Norris
- Piastri

- Williams Racing
I somehow entirely missed this thread being created lol
In general, I don't think it'll be much different than it was for the last few races of this year - Red Bull fighting against Mercedes, with Ferrari shooting themselves in the foot or simply no longer having the performance to compete with them. WDC wise, I'm going for Max, George, Lewis
Prediction: Williams Racing will not finish last in the WCC next year.
Prediction: Hulk will miss out on a potential lucky podium again
Prediction: Hulk's best finish in the 2023 seaosn will be a P4
Prediction: Alfa Romeo will be last in the WCC
Bets on the next team principals for Williams and Ferrari?
Jost for Ferrari and Binotto for Williams /s
they’re gonna bring back Mauricio for Ferrari and Vassuer for Williams /s
Bets regarding the driver market/lineup for 2024?
my bet is Checo would be relatively safe
De Vries underperforms
Pietro's reserve contract with Haas gets a further renewal
can he underperform when i expect nothing from him?
if you expect his neck to deal with worse than it endured before /s
Next year (2024) will be Ferrari's year.
/prediction
ok but for real this year Aston Martin getting P5 in constructors
Max will win the championship on the last lap of Abu Dhabi by overtaking Lewis Hamilton and it won't be controversial.
Alonso will get a podium
WCC and WDC: RB and Max again
Last Place: Haas, NARROWLY beaten by Williams (<5 points)
-Hulk underperforms, Ricciardo-style.
-Piastri beaten by Ocon
-Perez loses seat
-Ferrari does NOT win a race
-Ferrari get caught breaking some regulation
-Sainz beats Leclerc
-Merc P2 in constructors once more
-Russell beats Hamilton again
-First time winner at Las Vegas
-Alonso and Stroll take each other out of race at some point
-Penalty costs someone a win
-9 sprint races for 2024, much to our dismay
Person that internet tries to cancel at some point for some dumb reason: Zhou
Most DNFs: McLaren
-Bonus: FIA/FOM/F1 tries some stupid AI gimmick, like "AI predicted racing line" projected on-screen, or "AI art rendition of X" etc
My predictions for '23:
- Red Bull (Verstappen WDC, but the title is only decided in the final race of the season)
- Mercedes
- Ferrari
- Alpine
- McLaren
- Alfa Romeo
- Aston Martin
- Haas
- AlphaTauri
- Williams
Logan Sargeant and Alex Albon will have a far better season than the likes of Yuki Tsunoda, Nyck de Vries, etc etc... but they'll finish P19/P20 in the Drivers' Championship due to the Williams' inability to score points 😔
I anticipate a close championship fight between Mercedes, Red Bull, and Ferrari. Ultimately, however, I do believe Verstappen's consistency will win him his third world title.
Predictions for the driver market:
- Yuki Tsunoda leaves AT, to be replaced by Liam Lawson. Hauger doesn't have a great season in FIA F2, Enzo Fittipaldi does but moves sideways into Super Formula. Isack Hadjar and Zane Maloney will spend another year in F2.
- The battle for the second Alfa Romeo seat will be between Zhou, Theo Pourchaire, and Ollie Bearman. I think Zhou will spend a third year with Alfa Romeo in 2024, but will ultimately be replaced by Bearman for 2025.
Sargeant will be retained for 2024. It's too early to predict what his performance might be, but if anything - I can see him staying until at least Zak O'Sullivan finishes one season in F2.
I think we might close this before testing
WCC
- Red Bulls > Merc > Ferrari
- McLaren > Alpine > Alfa Romeo > Aston Martin
- Haas > Alpha Tauri > Williams
- Alonso retire from the sport again.
- Giovinazzi and Mick got a few FP1
- Some radio will be about misheard De Vries as debris, again.
- Dry Suzuka, Wet Singapore
- Hulkenberg > KMag, somehow
WCC:
- Red Bull
- Mercedes
- Alpine
- Ferrari
- Haas
- Alfa Romeo
- AlphaTauri
- Aston Martin
- Williams
WDC (Top 8):
- Max Verstappen
- Lewis Hamilton
- Charles Leclerc
- Sergio Perez
- George Russell
- Pierre Gasly
- Esteban Ocon
- Carlos Sainz
(Wild Card Predictions:)
- The Petrov Effect: (Zhou gets a podium in the first race after a superb debut race last year)
- A Miracle for Enstone, as the impossible happens for them
- A Wreckfest for Jeddah and Las Vegas
- Red Bull and Mercedes duke it out for both WDC and WCC
- Andretti get rejected once again, and partner with Avalanche to form the ultimate Avalanche Andretti Cadillac F1 Team™️ (/s)
- Ferrari will have a season that the Tifosi can only watch if they're drunk or high
- Haas to sneak in a 5th in the WCC, or crash to the ground and yet again finish 7th-8th
(Top 5 Best Race Predictions:)
1st - Brazil
2nd - Silverstone
3rd - Jeddah
4th - Bahrain
5th - Las Vegas
WCC
- Mercedes
- Red Bull
- Ferrari
- McLaren
- Aston Martin
- Alpine
- Haas
- Alfa Romeo
- Williams
- Alpha Tauri
WDC
- Verstappen
- Hamilton
- Russell
- Sainz
- Leclerc
- Perez
- Alonso
- Norris
- Gasly
- Piastri
Random predictions:
- Sainz will beat Leclerc
- Verstappen will annihilate Perez who gets replaced after the season
- Leclerc will have a public outburst against Sainz after mounting frustration from being unable to challenge for the WDC
- Hamilton will comfortably beat Russell
- Stroll gets preferential treatment over Alonso prompting the latter to voice his disapproval
- Ocon and Gasly will take shots at each other, colliding at least once
- WCC would be a proper battle between Merc and Red Bull. There would be fewer than 100 points between the top 2.
- WDC: Max Verstappen
- Alpine and Aston make improvements, and McLaren remains a bit stagnant. Fewer than 40 points separate the 3 teams. Oscar to have a decent rookie year, a bit like Lando had.
- Alfa Romeo to be P7-P8 in the championship. Depends upon the jump Alpha Tauri makes. Aston makes a substantial jump and would battle Alpine and McLaren on the good days they have. They would capitalise on unreliability of others.
- Haas to have a year not indifferent from 2022. A couple of highs, but mostly mehs. They score more or less the same points as 2022, but have a cleaner season. Their highs depend upon the car AT primarily produce.
- Ferrari to win at least 4 races in the first 10. They'll be very quick at the start of the season.
- Red Bull to just have a very clean season. Their car being best suited to all circuits at all the times. Max Verstappen being relentlessly quick and consistent and win the most races.
Random shit:
a) No one except top 3 teams to get podiums.
b) Aston Martin have a quiet season, kidding, course not, Alonso will complain a lot (doesn't matter if he has good reason or not)
c) Hulkenberg continues with his unenviable record of most races with no podiums.
d) someone moans about red bull's penalty based on the evidence of them being good.
e) Lewis and George are again very close in quali. George to outqualify Lewis, albeit not by much.
- Verstappen wins the championship
- Alonso finishes the season inbetween Piastri, Norris and the Alpine duo
- Alonso fights for a podium at least once in the season
- At least 4 of the Ferrari/Merc/RBR drivers win a race
- drama at Aston Martin at least once in the season
- Verstappen dominates like in 2022
- Alpine beats McLaren in the constructors due to Piastri not being experienced enough
- At least one reserve driver gets a stand-in drive at any point in the season
- Zhou gets a drive for 2024
- Alonso fights for a podium

Yes
do we get a prize for being most correct/most wrong
Maybe
remins me of Guy predicting that Sainz wins 2021 WDC and Leclerc not even top 6 in the standings

- Sargeant
Events
-
Verstappen wins the first 18 races in a row. Will wrap up the WDC by Singapore or earlier depending on the points.
-
Russell outscores Hamilton in the WDC. (Sad to say as a Lewis fan, but 2022 gave me Ricciardo v Vettel at RB vibes, so this might be the beginning of the end for Lewis)
-
Las Vegas is the most boring race in terms of actual racing.
-
Alonso and AM have a slight scuffles all throughout the season.
-
Tsunoda has a poor season and is let go.
-
Ferrari actually are the fastest in the first race, but Leclerc will DNF giving Max a win. They then get massively outdeveloped by Red Bull.
-
Sainz has a decent albeit win less season.
-
Only 6 different drivers get on the podium: only the duos of Ferrari, RB and Merc.
is the math right? even with 18 wins in a row it needs to go to Singapore before Max get the title?
Oh right it’s the 16th race now, I’ll have up check the math on it
So looks like if someone else consistently comes in at P2, there’s still a chance for them, but just for the laughs I’m gonna keep Singapore in as the point where he gets the WDC
I will say it’s Austin this time
Max manages to come 2nd and still bag the title here because Leclerc drops to 7th from a slow stop
WHAAAAAT
Never
wait is it a different Guy. I never go crazy with predictions lol
Im hoping verstappen wins another championship (redbull fan here) however I have seen a few predictions that Hamilton will take his title back but im excited too see the teams strategies
Oh it was Mickey not you, I misremembered
MICKEEEEY
@indigo anchor ... seriously
i named and shamed all predications and somehow i missed urs
:(
i didn't know it would be THAT wrong
lol
hey don't worry
i've cranked up the chaos scale to a whole new level for this prediction
Mine: Leclerc 2023 WDC
Duracell is going to be William's main sponsor next year
also we will have 8 red flags this season, at least one race will end under the safety car
Leclerc WDC
Mercedes WCC
Lewis/George have an incident together, Lewis/Max crash together, Max/Perez drama, Alonso gets a podium (Aston is 5th best team), Alpine have 4th best car but lose out to Aston as Gasly/Ocon fight, Norris will be pushed by Piastri, Ferrari have a race where they have perfect strategy ( BOLD But im feeling myself), 3 teams going for title, WCC = Merc, WDC = Lewis (why not spice it up)
Alonso P1
This season will be the 2015 of this era
I'll be a bit more serious:
-
Leclerc wins the Championship with a >25 points margin on Verstappen after Abu Dhabi
-
Ferrari wins the Constructors' title
-
Overall, FER, RBR and MER will be closer to each other
-
Alpine and Aston Martin catch up a bit on the top 3 and will fight for fourth. Alpine prevails thanks to Stroll not providing as many points as Gasly
-
McLaren will struggle in the first half of the season, finding more pace in the second half.
-
Haas will be ahead of Alfa Romeo
-
AlphaTauri dropping even closer to Williams
-
There will be a shock winner
9 very bold) Internal struggles at McLaren between Norris and Piastri, leading to the first cracks that will define Lando's departure after the 2024 season
- Las Vegas will provide a good first race somehow
i feel like either ocon or russell will torpedo someone into the hospital
Not saying it will but I think piastri will overshoot in a lot of places and will have rhe biggest crash
- lando and oscar will pretend to like each other but lowkey hate each other
- este and pierre will have way less drama than expected
- alonso will immediately reverse his opinion on AM the moment there are performance issues
thats all i got tbh
the question is: whose car will explode the most this season?
Ferrari, alpine or alfa romeo
alfa
My predictions:
- Top 8 will be Verstappen - Russell - Hamilton - Perez - Leclerc - Sainz - Alonso - Norris, after a close fight between RB and Mercedes where the fight between the Mercedes drivers gets decided by internal struggles
- Piastri will finish at least 5 places behind Norris in the final WDC standings after the car turns out to be difficult to adapt to once more.
- AT will finish last in the WCC, when a Tsunoda and De Vries lineup fails to score many points in a car that is clearly not the worst
- There will be at most 3 podiums from outside of the top 3 teams
- At least one driver apart from Gasly will get a race ban due to penalty points
- Zhou will beat Bottas in the standings
a voice of reason?
Last ditch prediction in before testing - Drugovich will start the Bahrain GP
Prediction, best wishes to all driver btw : Drugovich will have 2 race starts in this season. (2023)
Drivers standings predictions:
1⃣ Leclerc
2️⃣ Verstappen
3⃣ Russell
4⃣ Perez
5⃣ Hamilton
6⃣ Sainz
Constructors standings predictions:
1⃣ Red Bull
2️⃣ Ferrari
3⃣ Mercedes
4⃣ Alpine
5⃣ Aston Martin
- nando best of the rest
- lewis and charles will beat george and carlos more clearly
- ferrari fastest for at least the first half of the season
- no drama between pierre and esteban
- no surprise early season form (like merc, haas, alfa romeo of last year)
Further prediction: Drugovich will have 3 starts this season, Lance will recover sometime between the Australian and Miami GPs.
leclerc win every race
Ferrari WCC
Hamilton WDC
