At the 2019 Goodwood Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard we reunited Rubens Barrichello with his legendary Brawn BGP-001. He took the stunning Mercedes-engined F1 championship-winning car up the hill, the first time he'd driven it since 2009! #FOS

Rubens Barrichello, the driver with the most GPs in Formula One (322), made a bombshell revelation on Wednesday's Beyond the Grid podcast. The Brazilian said he rejected an offer from McLaren to partner Lewis Hamilton in 2010.
"I regret not being his teammate. When McLaren called me, I had already signed with Williams. Yes, I had the chance to sign with McLaren at the same time I signed with Williams. I regret not having been alongside him," said 'Rubinho'.
"I was tempted, but I had already signed [with Williams]. Out of my gratitude, I didn't want to feel bad. Williams has always been, from the beginning, a team of real 'runners' and everything. But I'm sorry," added Barrichello, to the amazement of the presenter.
In the end, McLaren hired Rubinho's former teammate at Honda and Brawn, Briton Jenson Button, the 2009 season champion. The driver was Hamilton's teammate until the end of 2012. The following year, the current six-time champion went to Mercedes.
Barrichello retired from F1 with Williams at the end of 2011, after two years with the traditional Grove team. At the time, he was replaced by compatriot Bruno Senna, nephew of three-time champion Ayrton Senna, Rubinho's idol and friend.
