#January 2025 Script Reading Nook

i started reading the script for Bottoms and I learned the finished film cuts out the first sequence of the script, but I understand why they cut it. The humor and tone come across really well so far
Over the past week, I read I Saw the TV Glow and The Truman Show, neither of which I've seen.
(I mean, I may have seen Truman once at age 10 but that doesn't count.)
The Truman Show script is apparently much darker than the film, and the ending is especially bleak.
This week - Things to Do In Denver When You're Dead; The Italian Job (2003); My Blue Heaven. The My Blue Heaven Script, I thought, was funnier than the final film version.
How's the Anora script?
Great companion piece to the film. I'm sorta on a Sean Baker kick right now and I've noticed he'll sometimes describe what happens in a scene, and what the characters are saying, but won't provide any dialogue. And it's really cool to see how that plays out on screen.
I finished reading The Apprentice, read Babygirl, and then Tar. Tar I watched half of first which really helps, though the whole thing is really there on the page. So meticulous.
I think about Tar way more than I thought I would
Read Miranda July’s excellent Kajillionare and then also Dune 2, which was quite good on the page.
Really liked the Anora script, dark and well paced.
I read the "A Real Pain" script before watching it the other night. I was super iffy on Eisenberg before but now I can say i'm a fan. The dialogue was brilliant
Saw the film last night, really good. Added it to my reading list.
