Trying to play multiplayer with a friend through steam. Every time I try to join them (either via Join Player or Invite) I get an error saying I timed out while establishing connection. When I try to invite them to join my game they get stuck frozen on their ship (except its empty of all items and the lights are out) on the teleporter. Trying admin commands like reload or suicide don't change anything. Please help :(

you need to check the "Allow Steam/ Discord connections" on the options menu

might have mismatching mods. Starbound doesn't auto-sync and download mods as far as i'm aware. Might also be something about Firewall blocking inbound/outbound internet connections

Maybe i should put AssetDigest spoofing back into neon++, since i see this issue fairly often
Then u could ask your friend to give your their digest and connect to them

I got it fixed, neither of us run mods so it wasn't that. One of us had been trying to join with a character we had already started a world with. Joining with a freshly made one fixed it.
