Military is better than most think, I’m working with helicopters on a daily basis, most of my pay I can spend however i want, as food and board is covered, they give you a paid vacation day every 12 days, clear cut path for promotions, extra pay for what is essentially a business trip (I got $600 for visiting another state to work on a helicopter for 4 days) I’ve visited more places than the rest of my family.
