Well, the Ukraine forces are going off of destroyed vehicles which is not a bad thing, a single troop transport can carry 16 or so individuals, but instead it could also be carrying logistics, an apc that is taken out could be dismounted, but they count as if it is full

That’s a difficult question to answer, but I think something that plays a big role in this is just the way students are taught about other European countries

We only ever really talked about France, and France is also the country that usually comes up in history classes and whatnot

You can’t reasonably expect history classes to deal with every country‘s history but I really would have appreciated a bit more on the rest of Europe

For example there’s a different focus whenever WW2 is taught (which is usually the western side of the war), whereas Eastern Europe is much less commonly mentioned

And even so, while we did talk about the war of annihilation and the Holocaust in the east, as well as the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact, pretty important details like the annexation of the Baltics or the deportations there were not even briefly mentioned

I can only speak for the part of the yugoslav wars that played out in Croatia, but holding NATO bombings as a bad thing is hypocritical because an excellent example of Serbia doing something worse is Vukovar. They almost completely leveled the city, targeted hospitals and at the end of the siege took people from the hospital to an actual concentration camp and executed them. Everyone did atrocities in those wars, but Serbia by far did the most.

Nikita Mazepin was an F1 driver last season, lost his job in March as a result of a chain of events following the invasion

has dad was one of the major oligarchs who took part in meetings with putin in the first week of the invasion

both nikita and father have refused to come out against the war

funny thing is, he wasn't even fired for being russian

And so when the invasion started, all russian company sponsorships were ended
