what the hell is this
this is torontopilled at that point
do they even have a free tram zone?
if you don't validate
it's technically free?
ur so right
whats a presto
Ohhh so it's like opal and stuff
either way it's a bit expensive for just a streetcar
anyway I wanna see the new g-class trams
do they replace any stock?

hey we have those trains too
yeah and they actually work the and are fit for purpose. amtrak tried to propose using the pendolino as an acela replacement, but alstom had other ideas.
either way, the acela was and never will be a true high speed train unless another corridor is built/the current corridor is overhauled even more
it's stupidly slow for high speed rail standards

i hope it fails, again
yep we're fucked
transit 😌 that is all
The bright side of the tories being booted out here is that our new govt wants a LOT more housebuilding and aren't weird car-centric conspiracy theorists
honestly I'm kinda hopeful, especially since they want more powers to devolved (local) administrations :)
american here: i don't have hope for you tbf-new labour may not be conspiracy theorists but they're still neoliberals who rule by poll
used to think that! now I'm tentatively hopeful. they might be filthy centrists but so far they're making positive moves on a fair few topics. they do cling to completely nonsensical economics but for the topics I'm hopeful for that doesn't make too much of a difference

:)
yeah, no, i don't really agree on that, at least here in France
people rely on hypermarkets a lot in rural/peripheral areas as car dependency is still strong in those areas
