Ahem anyways I got palworld a few days ago and it’s very addicting

It certainly needs a bit of polish but it’s very cool so far

It’s mostly the pathfinding that seems a bit broken
I placed chests inside and my pals programming couldn’t find them and just kept dropping items on the floor
They try to light indoor torches by walking into the exterior walls
I think my helzephyrs got stuck in one spot in front of a staircase they were trying to get past? I restructured my base to see if more room helps but idk

I also nearly got stuck inside an incorrectly modeled cliff, that was fun
And pals clipping through floors is common…

Im in the process of looking for a better place to build a base because some of the pals keep getting trapped in the cliff

Theres plenty of nice open places, and I chose a nice plain on Marsh Island for my new base

I think that bigger Pals cant walk through doors, so you'll need your stuff to be outdoors or in a bigger area if you want them to access it.

My biggest wishes are that pals learn to stack instead of placing 500 coins in every single chest, being able to change priority so a rock respawning doesnt make everyone drop what they’re doing and mine, and continuous crafting so I don’t have to remind my wixens to cook more berries every ten minutes

There currently is a bug with effigies where leveling up actually reduces chances

So uhh, in the meantime I guess its best to hold off in leveling until they fix it

If I warp to my metal mine there’s just piles of ore (and berries because the food source is a capricity ranch) on the ground, and only when I’m there do they pick it all up

I redownloaded it since laptop died from overheating and hopefully it runs alright on the steam deck

Laptop might get revived but can’t play games like palworld that overheat the damn thing

Not sure if it just is ass on Nvidia GPUs or not

Cause I can run much more graphically demanding games fairly well on my laptop

Should also try cleaning your laptop if you haven't. I have a friend who lives in a pretty dusty place and has to frequently open up and clean his laptop or it overheats

After a week my playtime was at 30 hours… (I think it somehow got left running accidentally because I am literally in college right now there’s no way I’d actually have time to play it over 24 hours in a week)
