idk sometimes it seems like modded celeste is too focused on frame precision over other forms of difficulty

In the modded community maps who's only trick is frame ir picel precision are generally considered bad

i guess the biggest frustration for me is that the hardest maps only ever have one "right" way to solve them, and there's not as much room for improvization on the side of the player

Do you see the big timer at the top lef tof the screen here? And then the smaller une under it? The smaller one is how much time I had spent on that map up to that point. When I started doing that room it was at like 1h 30mins or 2 hours

So dont get discouraged if you fail over and over again

I play on keyboard

It's mainly because I've never seen any game make such a use of the C key like Celeste does

Nowadays I prefer to play platformers with the C key

and i spent 150 hours on farewell so far, at 6 deaths

so do it if you have a few hundred hours to spare

But you really just need to assign your jump twice and press both buttons as you hit the corner

If you jump twice at roughly the same time as you jump onto the corner of the spike platform, you get a tiny bit more height

Which is enough to clear the spikes

i think it depends on where and when you time the jump

i think corner boost is when you dash past a corner and jump at the right time, i dont know if it's the same principle for this

I think the way it works is that it pushes madeline up above the corner with the first jump, then does a full jump with the second jump, while also keeping the momentum you made while going towards the corner since you never really stop

you get corner boost if you, for example, dash towards an upper corner and grab jump at the correct time

i know there's some tech with just jumping but idk how that one works

These jumps also need to be really close together, hence why you need two jump buttons

There’s another way of going about it, by jumping off the top platform and doing a perfect corner jump

But it seems way harder than the double jump method

Especially since you need to do another double jump in the next room to do a cpop

i think you're just meant to fling yourself off the last two blocks

as they come to a stop

on the top right block you dash right into it then while it pushes you, you jump left, which carries momentum all the way to the left

no wall bounces

a lot of the chapter is finding the “right” way to solve the rooms, because even though there are usually a lot of ways to solve them, knowing the best method and timing makes the chapter actually not that hard
