Or a pop-up blends in, indicating that the battery is low or sth like that

Yeah those things happen, but you wouldn't be the only person to have these things happen to them. In the long run it wouldn't really matter if you have to forfeit a few runs because of outside factors.
I approve of this suggestion.

But at leaast disable hotkeys that could interrupt you while typing so that you don't accidentally Ctrl+W instead of Shift+W and such

I completely agree, this is a brilliant idea. The main thing about this feature that I really love is that it gives an accurate idea of what a players real wpm is, not just the scores they want to submit.

It also means that if a player wishes to only submit their good scores, it will still indicate that they player has forfeited the races they decline.

I think this is a brilliant idea and I don't see why this shouldn't be added.

All I would say is make it say NQ instead of NQA and it would be a pretty cool idea. Perhaps make it so if somebody clicks on the "icon" (given that this title would go somewhere around the player's name) it gives an explanation of what it means
