It's either usability (console) or stability (PC). Controller support may never be available on PC, so choose wisely.
I went to PC even with its messed up usability, because it loads faster, community is bigger and so are items easier available. Also going 100 is almost impossible on console.

I did several maps and 3 deliriums today without an issue... but then I stepped through the portal back to my hideout and two steps out with nothing around, it crashed lol. I don't seem to be crashing as much as others though. Only twice yesterday. One is too many, however.

What i noticed is that sometimes when the game loads, the sound/music gets stuck for a few seconds like it was stuttering.

I did two early heists and was ok, but then did a map and that crashed it. Do you guys get these triangular artifacts flashing across half the screen when standing next to some fires (like on the beach in Lioneye's Watch)? Holy shit.. that is such a major bug. But they didn't forget to plaster an ad for the Tab sale in the chat window lol.

i don't understand why they made it that you need those markers to get in the heist town. i left all of mine in the chest there and now can't get back in until i find more. sigh.

3 days into the league 24 hours in only 50 crashes. I have a better record then last league.
That tower in act 3 after the imperial gardens took me 4 hours last league a mere 30 crashes to finish the last map of act 3 haha. And i wish i was exagarating

@native kettle I ran toxic rain last league and it made me crash alot. I've been playing Bleedbow glad using Rain of Arrows and Split Arrow. The one thing I've noticed is that I crash more frequently using Rain of Arrows that Split.

@native kettle You could try using a utlity spell to try clear corpses too. I feel as though, the crashes are a combination of the spaghetti code of the game, but also the fact that the PS4 can't handle all the calculations involved when there's too many assets in the instance.

@candid ledge Yeah, I wonder about that. I'll be first to admit I do not crash as much as others because what some people seem to go through is horrendous. I used to think that my crashes (this goes back months) used to be when there was too much happening on the screen and that the PS4 (or a PC, for that matter) couldn't handle it, so it would crap out. But I actually get more crashes from seemingly nothing. I had 1 yesterday and already 2 today. I play a L80 Jugg now and I haven't had a crash doing maps in days. I think one was when I was returning to the portal inside my hideout (and I think one before that was stepping out from the portal into my hideout). One seemed to be caused by the server kicking me off today. But another one was when I left my character just standing around in Oriath (epilogue) to go talk to somebody. I came back 20 minutes later only to see the blue crash screen. There seems to be an underlying issue that is beyond the chaos happening on the screen. Somebody on the poe website said the other day that since these crashes occur across platforms, and league after league, there might be some issue in the core game code that hasn't been resolved for some reason. I tend to agree with that.

I've seemed to have re-developed that stuttering sound when launching the game where it goes dumdumdumdumdumdum, as if it was locking up on something. I'm thinking this is related to the reason the game locks up during gameplay and crashes. Maybe all of it is server/connection-related.. hmm.

i don't seem to be crashing the standard league much.. i think i played 4+ hours yesterday (maps) and crashed only 2 times, but it had nothing to do with hectic stuff happening on the screen.. just walking around. heists... i agree about 1 crash in 3, based on probably 6 i did. i noticed all other players are gone, so i'm the only one in heist town. sucks because it seems to be dropping a lot of chaos for me and i think i'm done with it until they fix it. to new players, i recommend just standard game for now.

So - Im level 60, and still havent been able to finish my first labyrinth. Tried 12 times and crashes all times, at random points. Tried on normal ps4 and ps4 pro - No difference. So PS4 players cant do labyrinth or do anyone have any tips on how to complete it?..

I crash too but less with these additions. I clear the ps4 cache before doing anything important like lab. Also, recently put a laptop fan cooler underneath (USB powered, works in one of the controller slots). Not sure the cooler helps much but can't hurt. Make sure your power cord is plugged directly into a wall socket, not in a power strip, this helped me a bit as well. Other than that its just the game crashing but at least you tried to mitigate the problems on your end. My 2c, hope it helps 😄

@long wedge Problem is, both me and 3 friends are trying to play together. We started (new players) 1 week ago - We love the game, but we`re on the brink of not playing anymore due to these issues. In 5 days I have had over 50 crashes (heist and lab mostly). I have tried to find information about this (patches etc) but it doesnt seem to get adressed at all. Its not a fault on my end - As I have never experienced any crashes in my game library, which is probably 200 games. Do the developers want us to play this exclusively on PC/Mac ?

By the way, I swapped my Flame Dash for Froatblink and the game crashes much much less now. I'm playing Vortex/cold snap build so there's not a lot of particles already. Flame Dash seems to be the cause of a lot of crashes.

I just reinstalled and managed to do a whole session(1 really dense heist and several waypoints of main campaign) without crashes. I also have all cosmetics turned off, it seemed it helped a bit before the reinstall.

7 crashes since last night. I keep coming back to this thing like a moron, ignoring other games I have installed and ready to be played (metro exodus, nier automata, a plague tale, jedi fallen order, and more) and never have time. One crash was so bad that the whole PS froze and I had to pull the plug to get it going again. And, no, this isn't caused by a lot of shit going on on the screen at the same time, although I'm sure that doesn't help. Majority of crashes I get is with either nothing happening or very little, like half of these crashes seem to be when going from one instance to another (just out of the portal, for example). I clicked on Helena to sell stuff and it locked up. I clicked on Tane Octavius' "barrel", it locked up. I mean, I already spent over $400 on MTX for this game.. something I normally don't do, but felt POE deserved it... but I'm putting a moratorium on that until they fix it. No more money from me.

guys, test out the game now and report on it. they had a 10 minute downtime and I don't know what they did - i don't want to jinx it - but everything is running so much smoother. i quickly did 3 maps with my speeded up juggernaut, jumping all over, and did not have an issue. used the portal like 15 times and it didn't lock up.

btw, i only had 1 crash in two days and it was when dealing with instance change/portal (did a bunch of maps, no heists). overall my game is running noticeably better/faster/smoother, so I don't know what happened to that 10 minutes a few days ago, but i'm currently enjoying the game without expecting it to crash on me. again, i did not do any heists yet.

i'm reading on the POE forum in the PS4 section that people are still crashing. i don't know what's going on in my case then.

@thorn shadow I'll suggest you place a decoy totem and start pounding on Izaro while he's busy with that.. once the totem begins going away, run around until you place another one...

i was afraid i did something wrong with my built dying that quick, but just finished act 8 boss without any deaths as well so i think im doing good... really enjoying the game so far

@thorn shadow btw, the importance of having enough 'life' in this game can't be understated. it's just not enough to have a lot of armour or the max 75% resistances, since damage will still get through.. so the more life one has the better. something i quickly had to learn 🙂

@south bramble i spend 2 chaos and some change on a poet's pen, but apparently trigger on attack wont work since i only use spells with the build im following, probably not too bad but it was all i had... im not too worried about the currency, but i am trying to get my hands on a wand with the correct trigger. If you do make it to the recipe let me know, i can supply you with a wand to craft it onto if need be

Update, found this nice guy on reddit that supplied me with a wand with the correct stats and the correct trigger... even though i read everywhere the community on consoles is much smaller, ive already met some really nice folks that helped me out with questions and stuff. @vernal trellis Ahh, the Blunderbore. Hefty armour. Takes -5% speed off, which sucks if you're a slow marauder. If I were you, I'd get boots with speed on them. I (Juggernaut) have 24% speed increase on my boots and actually took off one of the two Kaom's Way rings that I was using and instead put on a Death Rush ring with 33% chaos res, 294 armour, 0.77 life leech, 50 life, and Onslaught on "every" kill (20% speed increase for 4 sec), so I'm running around like a madman, smacking everything in sight with my 6L 685dmg Kongor's Undying Rage maul (earthshatter(maul)/earthquake(helmet)/sunder(body)) [and also my 6L 632dmg Tidebreaker maul as my secondary weapon with sweep and life leech]. I am having so much fun.

btw, i hit level 87... woooooohoo

@thorn shadow It's the same atlas and the same maps that you can do over and over and over and over again, so it all blends in. You can open these through other people you invite to your hideout too, like the beast catcher and so on.
