something people aren't really noticing is just how many passive points are being saved by changes to pathing
for instance, look at this spot right here. if you want endurance charges and you're going on the top path there, it's 3 points for both an endurance charge and a jewel
and the same applies to all the hybrid charge areas
pure charge areas are unchanged obviously
there used to be attribute nodes here as well, which is more saved pathing

Might of the Meek will be significantly stronger this league. As while it disables the stats from Notables, you are still able to allocate the notable, and thus will be allowed to obtain the Mastery from the wheel.
since flame surge will be basically a necessity for ignite builds wha fire skill would work best if i wanted to do cast while channeling?
SST doesn't seem like it got nerfed all that hard, I guess it would still work as a starter?

those builds are not real builds. Look closer at them, they are just exploiting how poe.ninja/pob shows dps. It's not possible in game dps with those setups

For energy blades, what are the implications of your weapons turning into swords?
Does it keep the implicit and explicit stats, but is now a sword for the purposes of passives and what skills you can use?
I think passives and items will still consider the original weapon type, so you probably only get bonus damage based on your es

you get 1860 ES just from that.
you can probably squeeze in an easy 1200 es to bring you up to 3k
technically you could prob squeeze in up to 2k es on gear
if you go 1 hand you also have access to a shield if you wanna do that
at 3k es to start with, you get a 571 edps 1 hander
and an 806 edps 2 hander
but like i said. squeezing out 2k es doesn't seem unrealistic with some actual budget.

I cant figure out a build to play at start...Do people typically create bossing characters at start or quick mapping characters first

You want a reasonable amount of bossing at least if you want to unlock atlas passives.
mapping quick then tanking on bosses feels horrible, I'd prefer normal mapping and good bossing than a character solely focused on mapping
ive screwed myself in the past making fast mapping characters at the start and then get to yellowred maps and and bam, cant kill bosses
im trying to avoid that this league lol. i might just go zombies

the main problem is short duration and minion effects don't affect them it'll never really be a bosser unless they give it enough duration but it can't even really be used as a mapper cause your dependent almost entirely on the enemies stats

Keystones from scourge will be INSANE (in trade league)... getting the ones you want without build killing downsides in SSF would be very RNG gated. But there will be millions of "bricked" scourged items available in trade that fit your build.
well millions won't fit your build.. but out of the millions, some will fit your build and will possibly be cheap
If you get some crappy gloves with 50 life and 35 resists, but gives you a keystone that you would have spent 6 points to get to... it would be like a Unique set of gloves that says "Gives 6 extra passive skill points" .. which would be a multi exalt chase unique.
Yeah, I'm not sure if every keystone will be possible, but as OP as that sounds, it's actually more balanced the more mods that are available because it makes it harder to get the ones you want.
I think if you could only scourge a rings/amulet or glove/boot/helm or something that would still be crazy.. but you can equip 10 different scourged items. It's just going to be stupidly broken fun -- IF you can get the mods you want.
I also can't believe they're letting us scourge uniques... Almost any usable unique is worth slapping with a vaal orb and then if you get any relevant implicit you scourge it and it will likely be worth something to someone.
You could probably dedicate your entire league to farming/buying alva double corrupts... double corrupting tabulas and scouring them and selling them.

Aside from double corruption insanity.. I think you'll obviously just always want to have something in your scourge windows. So I'm trying to think about cheap and easy ways to just have a tab of "good enough" stuff to throw in there each time I have a slot open. Like just using essences or fossils on rings/amulets to get something decent and if it gets a good scourge then the mods don't need to be that great.

One thing I did notice watching the reveal again was the item levels do matter. If you put an ilvl 83 item in the scourge window, it will only gain progress when you are killing mobs in a 83 zone.

But I like that this league mechanic doesn't have the issue of Harbor Bridge / Quarry farming because you need to kill demons.. and to kill demons you need to kill mobs first. So the league mechanic encourages running juiced maps with lots of mobs.
Grimro was saying he thinks you'll be able to fill your blood meter, swap to nightmare, empty blood, back to map, fill blood, swap to nightmare multiple times in maps with lots of mobs. So yeah, i think you're right about that.

Sort of, you'll need to run multiple maps, but the more mobs that are in your map, the more times you can swap to nightmare and progress your scourging. Chris hesitantly said league mechanic mobs count too. So having alva/blight/expedition in map should mean more and more scourging

They didn't directly say they're changing Janus, but they said they're swapping Perandus rewards out for Expedition, and half of his rewards are currently Perandus so
