I think it is. But when you start hitting pack size 26+, generally the mods are pretty insane with all of the remnants opened. I also reroll any crit increase, because its just too much.

There are 4 people to spend it on... So Dannig can give you currency discounts on the other 3 members and logbooks. Tujen offers currency/scarabs/splinters/orbs/oils/etc. Gwennen offers gambling on all sorts of types (normal rng), and Rog can offer some crafting/upgrade options on a rolling selection of gear. Both Gwennen and Rog can offer any equippable item to get. Rog does not offer uniques, however his crafting options can do some decent things. Gwennen can offer uniques.

There isn't much to explain, interact with the vendors and learn as you go. Nothing is very complex with the vendors and you can always check the trade site or poe ninja if you want an approximate value of each artifact type

Ways to deal with them: bait them into attacking. Have something taunt them away from you. Hit them with damage coning from a different direction, via ricochet, totems, ballistas, etc

I always did logbooks, quant, currency, rarity, stacked decks. At least in maps, inside logbooks it was just a cluster fuck of whatever made the best route to get as many runic/chests as possible while trying to increase quant, rarity and cool shit like free scarabs and simulacrums

I never really did logbooks for fun sadly, it was always trying to get conditional challenges and finding the last underground place and once I finally hit 36 challenges I lost all motivation to keep grinding

If you REALLY want to do logbooks, buy them. The ones with black scythe/sun factions on. You no doubt always make your money back in chaos/stacked deck/reroll currency.

Just keep in mind, logbooks drop from the runic monsters, not the chests

#

If you want to target logbooks, blow up the big skulls on spikes, rather than the remnants and chests

Theyre still uncommon, but that'll give you better returns

The character I'm building up is basically a counterplay to all the recent changes. Damage conversion so he can damage all creature with damage type immunity, a Duelist node that makes him self-cure bleeding and corrupted blood whenever he uses a guard skill, Cyclone so he can always be on the move, and the Champion's Adreneline power to be curing ailments. Problem is, I don't know if I can keep making characters to account for all the changes every league.

Just dont hit immunity boxes that you cant do, get a corrupted blood jewel, get ailment auto flasks for bleed/freeze/whatever else bothers you, and elarn to not depend on cyclone for positioning

It's a beastiary recipe like the rest. At the altar is an option to spawn portals to a beastiary boss, but you will have to have captured one first to unlock the recipe.

If you have the recipe unlocked already (by having captured one of the necessary beasts in a previous league) you may be able to buy an appropriate beast from trade, but there are some bugs with that which I'm not 100% familiar with

The suffix on the special remnants is always either "runic monsters have 20% chance to drop <a thing>" or "excavated chests have 20% chance to drop <a thing>". For empire remnants that thing is either an enchanted item as in your screenshot, or legion splinters. In other areas it could also be things like gems, scarabs, unique items, simulacrum fragments...

most valuable logbooks are usually the high end ones but if you can pick them up along the way it's a good source of extra income

#

a basic rule of thumb would be "don't make the expedition encounter unbeatable" cause you can f it up if you choose bad remnants like "immune to cold" and your build does nothing but cold or "monster hits can't be evaded" and you're an evasion build

Olroth keeps dying to me even though i have southbound gloves on, im using ice spear totems with elemental focus ( no ele ailments ), oshabi, vorana and olroths minions seem to be complety immune to dying to me atleast but ive now twice accidentally killed olroth because southbound refuses to do its job, any clue what could be going on?

nah ive made sure that southbound affects your totems, especially when oshabi didnt die to me, the only thing that could be happening thats left is that elemental focus doesnt just completely remove ailments from abilities and instead just applies something like 100% less chance or something (or ulroths bugged with southbounds)
