It's cause the monsters go from 0 (you've killed most of them) to 100 (they all spawn back at once)

So there are 4 debuffs in ultimatums that could affect you like that.
Covered in ash (is just a slow)
Hindered (reduces action speed)
Stuns.
You also could be getting frozen if you dont have a freeze flask and you have cold damage as a map mod.
3 of those can be solved.

I am building an Arc Elementalist. I'm around level 86 and have 4khp and 2.6k mana with MoM and Arcane Cloak. I can't clear even 2-3 rounds of any Ultimatum trial on a yellow map or higher. I've basically given up on them. How can a squishy caster manage these more effectively? I have Vaal Arc, Flame Dash, Storm Brand and Arcane Cloak with 4x Golem supports.

he made all of the ultimatum rare mobs and while the ultimatum itself roughly doubles the render load, the rares seem to have some sort of leak as the frametimes get worse as rares spawn and persists after they die

I can't turn anything else down, ultimatum quickly hits 60ms frametimes on a GTX 970 with a lot of latency to even get the frame out

he made the enemies yes, but he, afaik, doesnt deal with technical issues and such. I assume you checked for similar issues and such, so I'd suggest sending an email to support. At the very least, that way it can be forwarded to the right people who can properly investigate it. Personally, I dont have an issue with it though, but I also have a 2060 super

Spawns randomly. Each round it spawns somewhere else. Easiest to see it on a lower level ultimatum so you can loose some proj and not be scared

Best I can tell Ultimatums are just hard, mostly depending on Map mods. Recently I'll breeze through 3 or 4 and then hit one where I get stuck on the ground for half a sec and boom I'm wiped.

All the usual stuff has helped, high resists, more health, instant health flask, quartz flask, recover health on block, etc

#

I focus on challenges that do less as long as you keep moving but I think what you want to focus changes a lot with each build

I think a big, over-selling point for later in the character skills is over-saturation of effects. That's cool that there is stuff all over the screen. But, if you can't see what is happening, it is fubar. I had to buy Yolomouse just to be able to see the mouse cursor sometimes. Forget about seeing the map. There are no microtransactions to fix any of my problems. Is anyone else feeling this way?

I was astonished how well Cyclone with CoC IceNova worked with Ultimatum. Even though it stops channeling every reward/mod window.

i tend to fail Restless Ground III a lot lol. Ruin quickly stacks up with that mod and you can barely see anything in the ultimatum commotion so it's rather difficult to avoid it. Other mods are not that much of an issue tbh.

Anyone else notice that the in-map/zone ultimatum challenges slow down / almost stop spawning mobs at convenient times on kill enemy wave challenges just to screw your winning streak? It's happens a few times now where i'll go 20-40 seconds before it spawns a new wave an by then i'm flask drained and killed by lightning/fire/ice bomb/etc...

The next monster spawn happens when you kill enough of the existing monsters. It's a bit more complicated than just a percentage but yeah, if you aren't getting monsters spawning then killing more will be the way to trigger the next wave

This league has had more unexpected crashes for me than previous leagues (this late in the league/number of patches). I think there is some instability for Vulkan with this 'aggressive VRAM' method for handling assets. Speaking of which, they still poorly load (if at all)

Every league starts this way (from my experience), hence why I was bringing up that it is unstable this late in the league. I mean, each league adds GFX, so it is bound to break somewhere. I do like stand in damn circles. LOL I skip that one as much as possible. Most of the time, all my links on sockets are bars instead of the golden link, some sockets don't show gems in them at all, worldmap is a beige blob with no details, icons for status effects/curses are blobs... I am guessing this is all because the game demands fast responses and a spinning sata disk is too slow

Sadly the spawnrate for the trial master is quite low so getting those last two challenges is out of the question

there was a reddit post of a person doing 600 fully completed ultimatums and found a total of 2 trialmasters

so idk if that person was just really unlucky or if the rate of trial masters spawning is really 0.33%

i went in. no minions
got him to 0% life with southbound

then i culled him after getting tether and max chain length on tether

Was kinda fun to spam all that reforges like I had unlimited chaos orbs for crafting. Harvest spawned a lot. But all in all it was pretty useless except for some weapon/chest enchants and 1 or 2 rare crafts.

There's something that is bothering me. I saw a meme on reddit awhile back that was like "Me: Mom, can we have a Mirror of Kalandra? Mom: We have a Mirror of Kalandra at home. Mirror of Kalandra at home:" then showed an Inscribed Ultimatum where you can sacrifice an item and then get it back along with a mirrored copy of it.

But I have never seen another picture of that Inscribed Ultimatum type again and can't find information on it.
