Due to the way the ring works, it mostly just means you are limited yourself to reducing the enemy chaos res to make your ignites better, and using wither to make them take more damage, versus say using ele weakness and flammability. You still scale the ignite the same passive wise.

the upshot is that, the more times you've deferred an item, the more mercy the game will have about letting you miss payments on it (but the price will tick back up)

so, time for me to repeat my working theory on how deferral works 🙂

when you defer an item, it gains a stack of "deferral". each stack of deferral reduces the price of the item. every item with 1 or more stack of deferral can reappear, and items which aren't deferred lose a stack (so they can disappear if they go to 0 stacks)

One question I'm wondering is - does the appearance rate of deferred items depend on how many items you've deferred?

In that case it might make sense to stop deferring small items when you find a big ticket item

Well Poe is game about pulling 1/1000 strings no stop, I pulled leveling unique which by accident was perfect for skills I leveled with and decent 5L armor, some people get tabula

Defer is not time based, you can return to league week later and deferred items will wait for you in later altars

i believe you need to actually fight the bosses in the maven's arena. have you done that?

what happened for me was, she just showed up while i was fighting a boss

dropped the Maven's Orb or whatever it's called

i upgraded my map device, so now, in regions where the maven is "interested", i can click the button in the map device UI to make her watch me kill the boss

do that 3 times in a region and she drops an invitation for you

put the invitation in the map device, it takes you to her arena, kill the 3 bosses (later it's more bosses) and you get skill points

yeah i believe so, you can defer any items you want, there's no limit and they wont overwrite each other

Trinity Support does not show any skills supported, but works for some of them. Like Cyclone. However it does not work on skills like ball lightning. Even though ball lightning works with other on hit supports.

there is a limit but it's pretty large, you're unlikely to encounter it unless you're doing something silly like deferring a ton of cheap items

What should i do if the item i am trying to buy appears in a single ritual encounter that fails to provide enough favour and I am now going to lose all progress on it?

I did not die or otherwise fail. I got 100% of the favour from this instance but it totals to less than the deferral cost of this item and I am therefore going to lose progress and have the price increase because I cannot defer it this time

I just started this season today and when I've played before I've always played through almost the whole game in public parties but I've run into the 'only 1 person gets ritual loot' thing, is there a way to fix this with a party setting or something? it makes the game pretty much unplayable for me because I don't want to play alone and I don't want to play missing all the ritual loot.

Ritual is a league tied to the player. Therefore interaction with the reward mechanic is locked to the instance owner (the person who opened the zone or map) and cannot be done by party members

This is common with PoE party play and you are supposed to either share loot at the end or take turns opening zones/maps

its been true for all leagues with content tied to a UI or similar. Only things like breach etc where it just drops an item on the ground allow for any member of the party to loot

last one I played was metamorph and it was fine... actually most of them don't seem to have a 'map owner' restriction, or am I missing something? the ones I can think of, delve, meta, breach, etc are all shareable

Delve drops loot at the end on the floor. You cannot interact with its UI elements though. For example you can loot at the end but only the instance owner can decide where the delve cart thingy goes and the sulphite spent is that of the instance owner

Its not really messed up

Party play has been like this from the start.

Its never been about a loot free for all

All the way back to the master rota days where loot from each master mission would go to the mission owner so you each got your own loot

and people would respect that. I even saw people leave a mirror on the ground so the right guy could pick it up

and thats a public party

with the party loot setting everyone got their share or ffa or whatever, you just choose which type of party you want, with this instance owner gets all the the ritual loot, with the amount of loot available from ritual its a massive loss to play in a party now

PoE has never been designed for random group play

or even group play really but anything they do design for that they have a proper group in mind not random parties from the social screen
